Not seeing this machine, if the drum can be taken out this can help.
If nothing can be taken out, be very careful when attempting to pull the paper out. Paper can scratch the surface of the drum and can pull stripper fingers out of place. Also there may be mylar fingers in place that may be bent or broken off causing further jams.
Using long pliers might work.
More description of this area needs to be given in order to pull this paper out. There might be other internal parts that need to be checked in order to keep this type of jam to occur again.
If al else fails place a service call by a copier service representative.

Clean the rollers, you would be surprised with how little gunk can interfere with feeding the paper. It's not the paper but the roller inside the machine that are the problem.

How do you take out a paper jam canon ImageCLASS D320?

First you have to know the position of the paper that has jamed.
the cardinal thing to do is to loosen and open doors that must be opened in order to have a clear view of the paper.
How to open see the marks on the machine. Mainly the paper jams between the drum and the fuser, so make sure you see any green nobs meant for seperating the presssure roller and the upper roller so that the paper is free to move out in case it jamed between the fixing rollers.
See the manual on how to remove paper jams.

Try cleaning the rubber paper feed rollers. If it fails to pick up the paper in a pre determined time it will show paper jam. The pick up tires must pick up paper when turning, if not the paper will not feed into the machine and it will show paper jam with no jammed paper.

Hp laserjet 4520n: Attention indicator is blinking, printer is not printing showing paper jam in tray 2. No jam actually !!!

Look at the feed rollers.
If you pull the paper cassette out and look into the now exposed area, you will see two rollers in the machine, just above where the roller in the front of the paper cassette was positioned.
If these rollers are worn, they will not grab the paper and pull it out of the paper cassette. This will cause the machine to think that there is a paper jam, even though no paper is found in the machine because the machine is looking for the paper via a paper path sensor in the front of the machine, just a few inches up from the paper cassette.
Look closely at these rollers... they should have a "rough" surface. If any of them are smooth, you will have to replace them.
There are two blue hub rollers and one white roller.
Part #'s:
Blue: RM1-0037-000CN (Qty.2)
White: RM1-0036-000CN (Qty.1)

Printer sayes its jamed but no signs of being jamed

Could be a defective sensor. But before you jump to conslutions, check the following. remove the paper tray and look inside for paper. open all the covers, front and side. If you look in to the side cover you will see a rubber roller running on a silver roller. Turn the rubber roller with your finger and see if there isn't any paper stuck there, While you are at it also check on the top of the opening where the fuser is located for stuck paper ( Fuser is hot so be carefull) Close all the covers properly. If the problem is still there It might be a sensor and will have to be replaced. Let me know if you need any more help.

Paper jamed

Thanks for using FixYa. Perform the steps below in order to solve this incidence:
  1. Disconnect the power cord or power supply adaptor from the rear of the HP All-in-One product.
  2. Remove the paper pack remaining in the input tray.
WARNING - Do not try to remove the jammed paper sheet yet. Trying to clear a paper jam from the front of the device can damage the print mechanism. Always clear paper jams through the rear access door.
  1. Open the rear access door or the two-sided printing accessory.
  2. Gently pull the jammed paper sheet out of the rollers.
  3. If the paper tore when it was being removed from the rollers, check the rollers and wheels for torn pieces of paper that might remain inside the device. If not all the pieces of paper are removed from the device, paper jams are likely to occur again later.
  4. Replace the rear access door or the two-sided printing accessory.
  5. Restart the printer to continue the current job.

The paper is jamed with it protruded out in front about a inch

I would try first unplugging the printer, then taking the paper tray out, the toner cartridge out, open the back cover and inside the back cover near the power cord is a blue lever. Try pushing this down as you see if you can remove the jammed paper.
