Question about Whirlpool Washing Machines
I have a Whirlpool Ultimate Care 2 (LSQ9549PW5). Everything works good until the spin cycle. The rpm's are low (what I would expect at the beginning of the cycle) it never gets up to high speed spin. When it is done the clothes are almost to wet to put into the dyer. The problem is intermittent, spins good for a few loads, then doesn't for a few loads. I don't hear any strange sounds. Any help would be appreciated.
If the electric motor has carbon brushes, check they are not worn out.

Tip the washer backward, inspect the bottom of the gearcase for oil. If oil is present, the oil has migrated to the clutch causing it to slip during spin. The gearcase and clutch will have to be replaced if oil is present. Check the owners manual for limited warranty on the gearcase. If oil is not present, the clutch is just worn and should be replaced.

SOURCE: laundry comes out very wet
If possible, can you cycle a very small load of wash ( perhaps a towel or two) on the lowest setting to validate that : the washer is spiining up to normal speeds while draining water and that the water being drained is complete? Chancves are you have a either a blocked filter that limits water from completely draining, something in the drain pump or a restriction in your drain system. You could also have a worn belt that drives the pump. The test I suggested will at least determine if your washer is capable of draining all of the water from even a small wash load. Try that and let me know the results.

sounds like the drive block under the tub is stripped out or broken and it needs replacing,it sits under the tub to help drive the tub on direct drive models
