I have a 50" zenith plasma. There was hdmi satallite hooked up and my cable was hooked up to the coaxle. There is no box for the cable. I was disconecting my satallite and had to rewire my cable box outside so the cable got disconnected and then reconnected. When i reconnected the cable my wife was inside and said she smelt like something was burrning. my cable hasn't worked since. just a few fuzzy cable channels. All the dtv channels come in fine it just the cable.the cable company came out and said the cable is fine. I had two other tv s hooked up at the same time and they are both fine along with my computer. The cable guy suggested it was the cable analog transmiter that went out. Doe's that sound right and how much is it gonna cost.

Wings_it. I enjoyed reading over your postings (help, hints, fixes, etc...); for you always seem to give sound advice. I have a Z50PX2D, Zenith 50" Plasma and I have run into the same problem that A LOT of people have; e.g. I've had the Set for almost 3 years now and I've run into the Powering-up/Video Problem. However, I was not watching the Set and did not experience a Loud POP, while watching. I turned the Set on, it Clicked (As it always does), the Red Standby light went out, but the Green Power-on Light did not stay on... the Set Clicked again and the Red Standby Light went back on... all while I was still hearing the Audio through my new Onyko AV Receiver. I tried, remotely, to turn the Set on sever times... all with the same result. So, I went up to the Set, Pressed the Power-on Button, and held it in. The Set Clicked a couple of times, the Green Power-on Light Blinked several times, and the Video finally came on (I then released the Power Button & it stayed on). Basically, I do not believe that the problem is a Board (e.g. "y" sus. board). I originally thought that the Problem was a Power Converter/Transformer type issue. Then I read your Post, which mentioned Capacitors/Resistors. Can you tell me if you believe that this is the cause of my problem (sounds like it to me)? Plus, where can I purchase said Capacitors/Resistors? If you can tell me exactly what parts I need, I know that I can fix the Problem, myself; for I fix all of my own DVD, CD, Radio, Phone, Laptop, PC, Xbox 360, PS2, Etc... problems and I do not believe that I would have a problem fixing my TV... even if it is a Board. I was just hoping that you could point me in the right direction. Sorry for such a long post, but I wanted to give you as much information as I could, up-front! Thank you so much for your time and I really hope that you can help me out with this. I do actually love this TV and I do not have the money to Replace it, right now; so, I have to fix it!! Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Kwanzza, Etc... Nemochian
