The filters may be clear but is the exhaust blocked or obstructed in any way? If there's an exhaust hose then also check that it's not been crushed or restricted by any sharp kinks in it's run.

Something is certainly causing an airflow problem as it's causing the machine to overheat and cut out.

I'm unfamiliar with your exact model, but I've found that some dryer designs are also prone to getting a restrictive build up of dust or lint in places the designers never envisaged and to clear those kinds of blockages I've successfully used vacuum cleaners set to blow or **** as needed and in the worst cases have needed to partially dismantle a machine to clear out the obstruction: you'll be surprised what can end up inside if you have children or pets...

Error code 1477 on Miele T8322 Drier. What does this mean?

not sure bout the code. but it seems to indicate that the dryer is shutting down at certain heat levels. Thus u may have issues with ur cycling thermostat or thermal cut off or even ur venting and duct system.

Reset the thermostat

If the dryer has dryness sensor strips they may have a coating on them repelling moisture from wet clothes. The brains might think them clothes is dry. Clean the sensors with windex and party on.

I would suggest the limit switch sometimes located on the metal vent tube inside the dryer. The metal tube/pipe that exits out either the side or rear is the one I am referring to, has a high limt switch attached with 2 screws, sometimes this causes an open circuit.

on your heat setting you should see less dry, normal dry and more dry. put the setting on more dry and that should take care of the problem. and for the airways. first check your lent trap and if that doesn't do it, check your exhaust hose from dryer to the outside and if that is clear you may have to remove rear cover and clean out. i hope this help.

I replaced the thermal fuse and it blew again shortly after.

The main cause for thermal fuses to blow is a restricted airway. You need to make sure that your path for airflow is clear:

Check your dryer hose: make sure it is clear of debris inside, make sure it is not kinked when the dryer is in place.

Check your dryer vent: some houses and apartments have a fairly long dryer venting system before it reaches outside.

Check your dryer: just after the lint trap and prior to the blower motor is a common place for a blockage. You may have to take the front of the dryer apart to get to it. I have seen all kinds of things get passed the lint filter.

Each of these things would cause even a new thermal fuse to blow quickly. A combination of them could easily do that. The thermal fuse is the dryer's safety cut off, preventing your dwelling from burning down from an out of control dryer. So it's all about airflow, airflow, airflow.

IS THE DRYER PUSHED UP AGAINST THE VENTING IN THE BACK OF THE DRYER? IT MAY BE CRIMPING THE EXHAUST MATERIAL CAUSING A RESTRICTION.

IF THAT IS O.K., DISCONNECT THE EXHAUST AND RUN A LOAD OF LAUNDRY THROUGH A NORMAL DRY CYCLE.
IF THE DRYER DRIES THAT LOAD O.K., THERE IS A RESTRICTION SOMEWHERE IN THE EXHAUST. ALSO, CHECK THE LINT TRAP. IF THERE IS A WHITE CLOUDY FILM ON THE LINT FILTER, TAKE A WIRE BRUSH AND CLEAN IT OFF. IT IS RESTRICTING THE AIR FLOW AT THE FILTER.

CHECK THE LINT FILTER HOUSING FOR A BUILD UP OF LINT. IF THERE IS, USE A CENTER CARDBOARD FROM WRAPPING PAPER ATTACHED TO THE END OF THE VACUUM HOSE. FLATTEN THE CARDBOARD TO FIT INTO THE FILTER SLOT AND CLEAN OUT THE LINT.
