What model Kodak camera?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

I pushed my USB cable from my Easyshare Kodak camera, into another camera, now my camera wont load pictures onto my PC Can this be fixed by buying a new USB Cable?

That's the simplest and cheapest method of finding out. USB cables are cheap; try another. Hopefully you didn't transfer the damage from the USB cable back into your Kodak. If the USB cable looks damaged, then more than likely that is your problem.

If your memory card in the Kodak can be removed (and the pictures are on it) you can also get an inexpensive card reader (Targus, ~$12 at Walmart) to transfer your images to your PC.

Am i suppose to plug something into my computer and my camera to download pictures. I dont know what piece im suppose to be looking for. where do i plug it in on my camera

If you no longer have the manual, you can probably download a copy from Kodak's website.
According to the specs I found here:
Kodak specs.
Your camera is equipped with USB, the most common interface. The connector on your camera is probably under a small rubber cover and the other end (for your computer) will be larger, much wider than thick. You should have gotten the cable you require with your camera so I would check before buying another. If you cannot find yours, it will cost something under $10 to replace it and since there are many different connectors used on the camera, I highly recommend you take your Kodak with you when buying one.

Can't download my pix to my computer

monkey1,

As this is an old post, do you still require help?

Have you contacted Kodak tech support?

Apart from the Kodak software to connect the camera, you could use a USB card reader.

Take the memory card from your camera and put in the card reader.... it transfers MUCH faster than directly from the camera too.
