I just got a generic 16gb flash drive and just about every media file i copy there gets corrupted. Altough it's not every time it's about 95%. Is there anything i can do to remedy this or does the problem lie with the drive itself? Thanks.
ensure the drive is unmounted properly when disconnecting, as the USB interface can remain open and data is still being written to it as a background function. Unmounting ensures that all the data is written to the stick and the USB port is then closed before removal. It is the 'safely remove hardware' icon in the system tray.

Thank you for your response, turns out that the drive was fake and only 480 MB were usable. But thank you for the tip.

some flash memories bigger than 4gb have a different type of allocation partition.my recomendation to you is to Format the unit using your windows formating option and selecting on the allocation tab Default size. after this, create a new folder for each file bigger than a 1gb. it should work

How to remove the write protection in drive on Volume/Devices/Hard disk/DC6 I need some help.. I cannot write or move files on My Kingstone 4GB Data traveler. The message notification says it is write protected and ask to remove the write protection. Unfortunately, I don't know where to find the write protection or where to start to remove the write protection.
