Hi there! first to check here is the HDMI connection, if there are okay then next to check is the desktop properties on PC. From desktop open the Display Properties and go to Settings Tab. On that window you to ensure that you are selecting Multiple Monitors on the display. set the resolution of your display to minimal ratio just to avoid some error such as Mode is not Supported.
Hope this could help.

If your laptop has a HDMI port just use a HDMI cable to connect it. Unless you are trying to do it wireless in which case you need the data from the laptop to go first to a receiver, then the tv.

I am trying to hook up a Sony BDP-S360 via HDMI

I don't know what kind of TV you have, but on some TVs the HDMI inputs have to be enabled via the TV setup menu. Try looking at the setup status.

HDMi ( no signal, not supported) doesn't work with Dmr-Ez47v

Any HDMI cable manufactured in the last couple of years should all be HDMI 1.1 compliant, your problem is most likely the logic board in the TV itself or the HDMI connector on the logic board has a bad connection..

Have you tried hooking-up a standard DB15 VGA cable to the AKAI TV and your laptop?

If this works your problem is in the TV and will most likely have to be repaired to receive the HDMI signal since your Panasonic DVR and your laptop are not recognized by the HDMI input on the TV.

Good luck!

Trying to hook compaq presario laptop to philips lcd digital tv

hey fox,
sounds to me like a connection problem. If the compaqs output is vga, you need to convert the input (tv side ) to hdmi, component, s-vidio... what ever you can find. Typically when you hook up your computer to a flat screen or such, its best to try to use the hdmi ports or the rpg. But if thats not available you need to take the outout from your laptop ( whatever type that might be and input it into your flat screen tv. If you input laptop into tv under ( eg..HDMI) then when you VIEW it you need to select the correct source on your flat screen. Such as hdmi or pcmi or rpg.I know that the do sell alot of cables that adapt from one type of connection to another. Typically only one cable is required from the laptop to the flat screen. If you think about it you are only using the flat screen as a monitor.

Trying to connect PC to Philips LCD HDTV

While the tv is on the right input, and the computer is running, try unhooking the cable and hooking it back in. That's the only way I can get my Philips to detect the HDMI signal from my pc. I haven't found a fix for it though.
