Keurig 2.0 pump will stop pumping after a couple seconds from hitting the start button. Hitting start button a second time usually results in a full cup of coffee. What causes this to happen?

In some cases, the maker needs an internal cleaning because debris clogs the lines. Any obstruction will slow down the water flow and thus when you have a TIMED function, the machine thinks the process from start to finish is complete, when in fact only 1/2 of the process is complete. Use VINIGAR to clean the interior lines and make certain the water filtration is clear.

Why cant I get a full cup of coffee

Brewing a Partial Cup
If the brewer is not brewing the full amount selected, it may be caused by the following:
  • The exit needle is clogged by coffee grounds or cocoa mix. Please refer to the K-Cup Holder cleaning instructions.
  • The brewer needs to be descaled. Please refer to the descaling instructions.
  • The removable water reservoir was removed during brewing. Place the water reservoir back onto the brewer and perform a cleansing brew without a K-Cup pack.

The descale light keeps blinking, what should I do?

The 'Descale' light that turns on indicates that it is time to de-scale the machine.
Scale - or mineral deposits- form from the water you run through your Keurig coffee machine. If not cleaned regularly, the buildup can clog the lines in your machine and ruin the heating element. The manufacturer recommends you descale Keurig coffee makers once every six months for normal water conditions and once every three months if you live in an area with hard water.
You will need :
  • Keurig coffee maker
  • 48 oz. white distilled vinegar
  • Water
  • Large ceramic cup
  • Sink

Instructions :
  • 1 Unplug the coffee machine and remove the cup.
  • 2 Turn the coffee machine upside down over the sink in order to fully drain it of water. Be careful of the plug and avoid getting it wet.
  • 3 Pour undiluted white vinegar into the reservoir up to the top edge of the viewing window.
  • 4 Place a ceramic cup under the machine, plug it in and press "Brew" for a large cup. Pour the cups of vinegar into the sink and repeat the process until the reservoir is empty.
  • 5 Remove the final cup of vinegar and empty it. Fill the coffee maker with clean water and allow it to sit for four hours, remaining on.
  • Good luck ;)

Have the same problem as many others: Only makes 1/2 cup of coffee. Have cleaned out the lines, run lemon juice through and still only 1/2 cup

You still have some clogging of the line. Try a more aggressive approach. Run a cup of CLR through the unit a couple of times. Depending upon the hardness of your water, you may have to repeat this process to dislodge and disolve the mineral deposits in the line. You may also have to change to distilled or bottled water. Regular cleaning (about every 30 cups) should take care of the problem.
Let me know if you have any problems or questions. Thanks.

The coffee stream is weak and does not make as much ciffee as it should. I have descaled the coffee maker and it does not seem to have made a difference.

    Clean the Kcup holder.

    Cleaning the K-Cup Holder
    1. Remove the K-Cup assembly
To remove the assembly from the brewer, open the cover by lifting the handle. Grasp the top of the K-Cup Holder with one hand while pushing up on the bottom of the assembly from underneath with the other until it releases. The K-Cup Holder is dishwasher safe.
    2. Clean the Funnel
The Funnel can be removed from the K-Cup Holder by pulling on it until it snaps off. The Funnel is dishwasher safe. To replace it just snap it back onto the K-Cup Holder.
    3. Clean the exit needle
The exit needle is located on the inside bottom of the K-Cup Holder. If coffee grounds or cocoa mix gets clogged in the exit needle, it can be cleaned using a paper clip or similar tool. Remove the Funnel from the K-Cup Holder, insert the paper clip into the tube and move it around to loosen the clog and remove any debris. Please note, you cannot poke all the way through the needle as the opening of the needle is located on the side and not the top.
    4. Install the K-Cup assembly into the brewer
After cleaning, align the K-Cup Holder tabs with the opening placing the two front tabs on the bottom and the single tab on top and snap it into place by pushing down on the top rim.

It's all plugged with 'lime scale'. That's the white stuff that builds up from hard water. Regular vinegar run through at least two cycles will clear it, then a couple with fresh water to rinse it. That will bring it back to normal flow!

    Incomplete brew

Sometimes you have to do the decalcification two or three times. Then, monthly after that.

    Cuisinart Coffeemaker Decalcification Process

Run 2 cups distilled white vinegar and 2 cups water through the system - brew it like it was regular coffee. Then run plain water through the coffemaker to rinse the vinegar out and make sure the decalcification was successful. Repeat as needed. Don't forget to remove the charcoal water filters first.

Cuisinart DCC2000 quits brewing after 1or 2 cups

Finally, I got my coffee pot to run through without stopping several times. To fix it I had to run vinegar through eight times! Never before has it taken so many cycles to clean out a pot. It is still spluttering a bit so today I am going to get more vinegar or maybe even CLR and run it through a few more times.
