Problem for Brother MFC-5840CN All-In-One InkJet Printer

Print will not print has code in window and cannot

Printer was jammed after removing the jam it will not print. Message in lcd window says unable to print 30 and sometimes says unable to print AF. What does this mean? I cannot find my book that came with printer.

this error means the encoder strip is out of position. The strip is the foil which runs parallel to ph direction (and gives the ph the position info).

You have to open the printer and set it back into the ph carrier.Its a bit difficult
