I have an oki c3530 and it is making a terrible grinding noise, any ideas?

One of the drums needs to be replaced. Systematically remove one at a time until the grinding noise no longer happens, then replace that drum.

073 fatal error in OKI c3530

Oki ERROR 073 is a H/W Overrun detect. this occurs when the video circuit has set the overrun bit. Restart the printer and check the first print out. Try printing a different job and then reprint the same job that the error occurred. If you get the same error again, try using a different driver, ie swap from PS or PCL whichever you were using to see if that clears the error.

Okui 3530 toner sensor error

turn off eq - open and remove the drum with the color cartridge in locked position still in place - on the drum on the cartridge lock side you will find a small (1/4 ") rectangular "window"...with the catridge in locked position the window should be open so you can see the sensor...when the cartridge is unlocked the window should be closed...so with the cartridge locked, using a tiny pointed object (paper clip), gently move the panel up or down to the open position (mine moved up)....replace the drum with cartridge...make sure it is set properly...close up everything and turn eq back on....you may have to do this two or three times to make sure the window stays open when the lock is engaged...but this is what the "tech"(salesman) did...good luck

Check the left side of the drum cartridge.
There's a little door that may be stuck closed.
Carefully push it open with a small screwdriver.
