First save anything important to an external harddrive then just format your harddrive and it should get any bugs out of your harddrive and pray to god that it works

How can I fix 8002F334 error in my ps3

I've seen this error code going around for the older PS3's. From what I can gather, it's a HDD issue that can't be cured easily. Here are the steps to take that I found, that seem to work for all PS3 systems.
  • take out the hard drive
  • connect hard drive to pc (running windows 7 64bit, but any windows os should work without other software)
  • open up disk management - in win7 it asked me to make a master boot record, so I did.
  • format in NTSF - that's right, NTSF - don't use quick format
  • shut down pc, take out hd, take usb drive too
  • put hd back in ps3, put usb stick in ps3
  • boot ps3
  • a screen will pop-up saying the hard disk have to be formatted
  • hold start + Select for 5 sec.
  • After formatting the system will restart and the update will start installing
  • configure your ps3 setup - done
  • Remember to get the latest firmware from SONY onto the USB drive.

Hi when i turn on ps3 i get the hard disks file is corrupted and will be resorted so i press ok it say its restoring then reset then i get the same massage again what can i do cheers andy

hey there deagler

you have the hard disk corruption error

When your Experiencing Problems with the PS3 like this you mainly have 2 options to take, I will go through each one now so you know what to do.

Option 1

Send The PS3 to Sony

Almost all problems with the PS3 Sony can fix easily if not they will send you a refurbished model.

Price:

If your in warranty they will not charge you for this repair/replace.

If your out of warranty the Charge will be $150

Waiting Time:

4-6 weeks

Sony Contacts right here

Option 2

The PS3 Repair guide

When your suffering problems with the PS3 its often easy enough to fix it at home with a good ps3 repair guide. There famous for fixing major problems like:

The YLOD - Yellow light of death

The Red light of death

The Disk Read error

The Hard disk Corruption error

The Red Screen of death - Serious error

PS3 Freeze up Error

PS3 No Signal Error - no display

FIX All error messages

But not everyone knows they can fix simple settings problems like all error messages and the no display error, av and hdmi screen problems and more.

Price: averages between $30 - $40

Wait time: instant download and repair within 2 hours

I really hope I have enlightened you and you do what is needed to fix your problems with the PS3 and get back to gaming soon as possible

Please leave any comments if you need any further assistance

Best Regards

My ps3 will not play no games or dvds

If you have warranty with your PS3 you can send it to Sony so they can fix it. If you don't have warranty anymore then they will charge you $150 (that's a 150 dollars or some people said it was more pending on the different problems) for the repair of your PS3. Either way it can take up to 6 weeks before they send your PS3 back. Also note they wipe your hard drive contents!
Speaking of which you might try just this: reformatting your PS3 hard drive!
But if that doesn't work and you're not ready to pay that amount I suggest you use a guide that let's you repair your PS3 by yourself without the need of opening it. Such a guide fixes stuff like Yellow/Red/Green Light of Death (is your PS3 having one of those lights?) as they call it and other common problems with PS3 consoles (error codes, black screen, disk errors, error codes). My ps3 slim has an error report saying that the hard disk has been corrupted. it tells me to restart and the hard disk will reformat. I have restarted 5 times now and it keeps giving me the same error. How...

Just as a guess, it sounds like the hard drive might be dead. If you have another 2.5" SATA hard drive, you could try it in your PS3. To swap out the hard drive, look at the bottom of the console, and right next to the warranty label, you'll see a little door that you can pull open with your fingernail. Open it, and you'll see a little blue screw. Just unscrew that, and put the screw somewhere for safe keeping. With the screw removed, you can now pull the hard drive out from the bottom right of the front of the console, unscrew it from its chassis, and place the new one in and put everything back together. Once you turn on your PS3, you should get the error again, but let it restart, and everything should be fine.

Yes my playstation 3 is saying hard disk needs to be rebuilt and it only says ok so i click ok another message pops up and says hard **** not found hard disk data will be deleted and lets you selesct ok or...

you could try to remove the hard drive then boot up, then put the hard drive back in and boot and see if that helps or you can try to rebuild the file system and database.

To get to ps3 recovery console to rebuild the database or the file system(neither will format the hard drive), when the ps3 is in standby mode(red light) press and hold the power button till you hear a double beep.

Most of the time the double beep comes after the ps3 beeps once then twice then turns red again when red again release and press again real fast and hold,... this time you will here a "beep" then " double beep beep" then you release and you will have the options to rebuild the database or the file system. basicly keep holding power button from standby till you here a double beep, if it shuts down try again, once you get the hang of it its easy.

if rebuild database and file system doesnt work then you may have to choose yes on the reformat option but it will wont hurt the ps3 itself just anything you have saved on it.

More PS3 Hard Drive Problems

probably you have got problems with a sector of your Hard Disk .
try formatting it via a PC platform, then use windows to verify possible errors (if any, it will try to fix).

else, try using a new hard disk and if it's new, turn it back to the store you bought it ,

Corrupted hard disk?

If your ps3 is still under warranty, call Sony and they will have to fix it.

Also if you still have your receipt, take it back to where you bought it and they might give you a new one.

If not, you can try re-formating your hard drive in another computer.
