On laptops these days use builtin soundcards that are on the motherboard.
nothing should be loose.
there should be a chip labeled Conextant Audio , that would be the sound chip

The sound is built into your motherboard on all DV6000 and DV9000 units.
If you are not recving. quality sound, you may need to reload your sound drivers.
This unit is a DV6810us and should be running VISTA home 32.
If so, you can reload your sound drivers and others by simply Typeing recovery manager and continue, next go to advanced and choose re-install hardware drivers.
I hope this helps you, have fun.
P.S remove any external devices before reloading or restoring.

Model number A1286. My mac cannot turn on when I try to turn it on it just sounds like its warming up but the screen is all black, what do I do?

This is a very unusual symptom of hardware failure. One or more of the following might be the cause.

The ribbon cable to the display has worked loose or its connection has otherwise become interrupted. This seems the most likely; most other problems would at least show a "gray" screen during startup.

The GPU (graphics card) has come loose or (very unlikely) has died.

If you (or someone you trust) are not comfortable opening it up and checking for loose connections, you can try taking it in to an Apple store for assessment, but this model is considered "vintage" and no longer supported.

Just for reference, I'll include a link to several videos which explain the breakdown process in detail. (http://www.powerbookmedic.com/manual.php?id=35) MacBook Pro 15 A1286 Repair Guide

Turbo noise

I'm not positive (from the description) but you may be describing a loose clamp or torn hose. You should carefully check the related plumping that the charged air travels through (from the turbo, through the air cooler, then back to the intake. If you don't have an air-leak then I would check around the turbo. Check the waist-gate for seized linkage. If you need more information please write back and let me know, good luck.

Whats the ticking sound all of a sudden?

It sounds like a collapsed hydraulic valve lifter- a part of yoiur valve train in the upper engine. You need to have it checked at a shop you trust I don't know of any oil additives that can cure this, although someone here may give you some advice.
Loose valve train noise is common on high-mileage engines, but if it is a collapsed lifter, I think you should have it checked.
A loose timing chain will make a rhythmic slapping sound, but the ticking you describe sounds more like it's in your valve train. Have someone check it.

From what you are describing it sounds like there is an issue with the video card or the connection from the card to the monitor.

Try:

1. Checking the cable going to the Monitor. Try another cable if you have one.
2. After powering off the computer and remove and re-seat the video card.
3. Does the video card have a fan? Is it spinning? - overheating could be an issue. Check for dust on the fan as well.
4. Do you have a spare card you can use to test?

It could also be an issue with your motherboard, this would probably need to be replaced.
