New battery just put in my car, now no power whatsoever

Help me please! I have just replaced the starter/alternator in Nissan senta 2001 2.0L. I had a roomate who not only did ID theft on me but traded car batteries with me (That B***tch!). So, I got a new battery at Costco - Kirkland - I just took the old one out and put in the new battery. I have not screwed in the brace for it but since it is night and I needed to get to a store, I figured that could wait.

So, it can't be the starter/alternator. It must be something that needs hooked up like a ground wire, maybe? The battery is like 3 days old so it can't be the battery...sigh. I feel like putting the old battery back in the car and then jumping that with the new battery. :X So frustrating. Oh, I am a lady and alone so be gentle. Thanks so much.

Actually it could be the alternator, or starter. or you could have a bad ground, or open loop in your power supply line. i'll need more info, but it sounds like a ground issue.

I try to start my Nissan Altima 2006 and its like the starter is dragging I replaced the starter but still does the same can someone help me please

Was any major work done to it recently? If not find some who has experience and ask them to take another car and use 24 volts to start it once and it may start and be fine. When I rebuild engines I have to do this sometimes. PLEASE MAKE SURE THE PERSON KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT THEY'RE DOING.

2000 nissan frontier xe. starter went out, replaced started. worked for a couple days and went out again, starter had factory defect, put new starter in and still wont turn over, just clicks a lot. all

When you get your Frontier started after jump starting it, does it stay running? If it does, you probably just have a bad battery. If you have a battery and brake icon come on, on your dash, you probably have a bad alternator. you could go to auto zone and they will be able to test your battery.

Double check the battery positive connection wiring carefully as it commonly has connection problems when the battery is changed.

1997 Nissan Maxima - won't start; engine doesn't turn over; I hear only a "click" sound; Checked the battery - It's good, took the starter up to Pep Boys and checked - it rocks, just...

This sounds SO-O-O-O familiar! There are all kinds of variables here.

First, why was the alternator replaced? Did anyone ever perform a charging sytem test on the vehicle before making this decision?

If the alternator was in fact bad, it is VERY COMMON for a shorted cell in a battery to be the CAUSE of the alternator going out. Has the battery been PROPERLY tested?

Then I have a serious problem with taking the starter off of the car to have it "checked". What is anybody going to do with the starter off of the vehicle? Put some battery power to it and see if it spins? Just because it spins on a "bench test" does NOT mean that it is good, or that it has enough power to actually turn an engine over.

You probably only have something really simple like a bad battery cable causing this whole thing!

New battery, new alternator, new starter. Battery

Something is draining the battery most likly a short somewhere in the electrical system. You will need to have it looked at by the garage to find the short A temporary or cheaper solution may be to disconnect the battery when not using the car. You can either fit a switch inside the car or physically disconnect it at the battery.
