You might need to check your Windows Firewall settings and Internet Option -> Privacy Tab. They could be set too tight thus preventing you from opening any type of web page. Both Windows Firewall and Internet Option are accessible via Control Panel on the Start Menu.

Is surveyjunkie.com legit or should I forget it?

It's very controversial, with many sites giving it the thumbs down, so it's a personal opinion. You could always set up a temporary email account on yahoo, google or msn and see for yourself. Here's a typical review: Survey Junkie

Asus Eee 1001px netbook Win7 keyboard won't work beyond entering password

OK, so the keyboard works because it allows you to enter the password. Your problem is a virus or infection has hijacked your keyboard and it needs windows to be up and running to operate.

Try booting up in Safe Mode.

Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Take the Safe Mode option and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different to you, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, this is normal. Most times safe mode will keep a virus inactive, so if your keyboard works now we definitely know it's a virus or infection.

If safe mode allows the keyboard to work, turn the computer off and reboot as if you are going into safe mode, but this time take the Safe Mode With Networking option (this will give you internet connectivity). When it boots up, open your browser then download and install MalwareBytes and run a Quick Scan.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download and install malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. When the site opens up click on the Green Download button on the left. Do not click the Red Download button, that's junk. When it finishes installing the Gui Interface will open up with an offer to Accept a Trial Version or Decline. CLICK DECLINE you want the totally free version. Run a QUICK SCAN. As it scans, if it finds infections the number will be in red. When it finishes scanning, click SHOW RESULTS. A notepad text document will open up showing you the results. You can close the text document and go back to the Gui Interface where you will click REMOVE SELECTED RESULTS. The objects will already be selected for you. When it finishes removing the objects click ok and it will sometimes reboot your machine.

My acer aspire d 257 keeps freezing having to force close need advice how to fix this its only 5 months old and I never download

It probably has a virus or infection. Just because you never download doesn't mean nothing can get in. If you sure the web a website you came across can download it to your system without you ever knowing it.

To fix it try the following steps:

If the system freezes or stops before you can get malwarebytes to run then boot the system in Safe Mode then download and install MalwareBytes.

To get to Safe Mode, Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Take the Safe Mode With Networking option (this will give you internet connectivity) and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different to you, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, this is normal. Then open your web browser and download and install MalwareBytes and run a Quick Scan.

Keyboard wont work in windows

Why won't it? What is it doing? Maybe the Keyboard is hijacked, had a loose connection or is broken. Try booting up in Safe Mode and see if it works.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type:"download.cnet.com" (without the quotes). Click the link to goto the site and look on the left side when the site opens up and you will see agray area that says FIND SOFTWARE. In the white search box under FindSoftware type: "Virtual Keyboard" (without the quotes) and click themirror to search. When the search results come back look for FREE VIRTUALKEYBOARD. Download and Install it. It's totally FREE. Alsouncheck anything that pops up other than the license agreement during thedownload and installation. You only want the Free Keyboard and not theother junk.

You can use it to solve your keyboard problem. Just open up whatever it is youwant to type on such as the web address in an browser, a word document, etc.,then open the Free Virtual Keyboard and it will sit on top of whatever you weredoing. You can move it around so that it is not in your way also.

You can obtain them from the manufacturers web site under drivers and download section look in your paperwork or if you have a driver disc provided at the time of purchase use this to install the drivers again. You will also need utorrent software which is free as well Click Here first before you go to btjunkie.org. I hope this assisted you. John
