Question about HP Pavillion ZV6000 Notebook
Laptop wont boot.
When it started I did a little research so took the battery out thinking it may be static, just replaced the power lead then tried it and it worked - until a week later when this failed too. Now I turn it on and the power light comes on, the fan starts for a second and the CD drive tries to read but then thats all the life it shows, nothin at all on screen, no noises.......nothin. I have also tried to reseat the ram to re-establish connection but have had no joy. Could this be a safety measure from the fan or is it usually something more serious?
I am having the same problem with my laptop as well. I have taken out the battery and tried to boot from just the power cord. I have tried to resit the memory. I have tried with just the battery. I can't get it to do anything. I have also tried the remove the battery and AC cord, press buttons for a minute or two, hold down the power button for 10 seconds and witht he button pressed plug in the AC cord. Still nothing, any help.
Similar cases,,,,,,,,won't boot,,,,,1.) if with black display; please check your ram memory, if you have 2 take out it all and replace it one by one, try to boot one at a time,,2.) if with black display and the pan start functioning maybe your cpu is dead, try to switch it to another computer with thesame socket and voltage,if this computer won't boot also, maybe you got the answer.........hope to help
