Question about Philips Magnavox 51MP392H Rear Projection Television
This is a convergence issue. You can solve this by replacing the STK packs. These ICs control the voltages that go to the picture tubes being projected. There are 2 of them, both should be replaced at the same time.
RCA got bought out is owned by an overseas company now but you can get either the OEM or non-OEM STK packs from most electronics suppliers or online. Parts usually run about $15-30+ for OEM and $10-25 for non-OEM depending on the supplier. You would need to have soldering skills and some liquid heat sink to fix. The Hear sink goes on the back of the STK packs to some cooling fins to help prevent overheating of the STK packs.
Make sure there are no solder bridges and all the connections are soldered well, there are many pins on STK Packs.
