My canon camera is not letting me download pictures. every time when i plug in to the computer it just shows busy signal. i don't know what is wrong with it.

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Hi There
I assume you found this camera and don't have any information about it.

Here is a link to download the manual.

If you don't have a cord to connect it to your computer, you can purchase one:

Hope this helps!
Good luck!

Hi midnightpear,

The problem seems to be with the camera ,not being connected to your computer , or the connection mode has changed,

I would recommend you to choose the correct data connectivity mode, either mass storage or the software suite mode that came along with the camera.

This would resolve your problem and you should be able to see a removable drive in my computer and then that should contain your images.

Hope this helps..:) Let me know in case you need further help.

Download to computer

once tyhe cable is connected and you turn the camera on, the Computer should see your camera as a mass storage device and you should be able to access it through your windows explorer or simular programs with other software.

If this doesnt work it could be your card if faulty, the cord is faulty the camera is faulty or the pc is faulty.

Sorry could help more.

Computer wont reconice camera when i plug it in

Well, i'm guessing it's safe to assume that you are plugging it into a USB port on your computer. Most computers will have two or more of these ports on the computer. 1st, try using a different USB port. Make sure that when you connect your camera, that it is turned off. Once connected, turn your camera on. If nothing happens, turn it of but keep the camera connected and reboot your computer. Sometimes it will automatically read what you have stored on your camera. If none of that works for you, i'll look up some places that you could find software compatable with your Canon.
Let me know!
