The problem is that your rechargeable batteriesrechargable battery run down - 2.gif have become degraded to the point that they won't take and hold a charge. Because the batteries2.gif have become so badly degraded, that even with the power cord plugged in, you still can't use the razor with AC power either.

If you want to have the shaver repaired for you, you can contact www.electricshaver.com or give them a call at 1-888-476-1785 to get an estimate of the repair costs. Typically it takes about a week or less once they receive your shaver. They also stock most parts for many brands of shavers, including your Braun. I've used them for getting parts for several of my shavers and found them to be a very good company.

If you're handy and have a soldering iron you can disassemble the shaver and remove (unsolder) the bad batteries and solder in a new set. There are two small caps on the bottom of the razor that cover the screws that hold the body havlves together. Remove these with a small pick or small flat bladed screwdriver and remove the screws and carefully remove the body halves and that will let you get to the main board and the batteries.

Simply heat up your soldering iron and melt the end tabs off the batteries and remove them. Then solder in the new ones and make sure they are properly secured and have adequate solder on the tabs for a good connection. Put the covers back on and install the screws and and the caps and your all set for recharging the shaver. Let it charge for at least 8 hours and you should be all set!

So whether you decide to have the repair done for you, or do it yourself, I hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards

After aoolwing my Samsung to run down completely I tried to recharge. it now tells me that it is recharged to 100% BUT IT WILL NOT TRN ON

The battery has failed in all likelihood. The charge indicator on phones is not accurate as it only measures voltage and not amperage. Most Samsung devices use batteries that are not intended to be run completely dead. New batteries should be allowed to discard to less than 10% and fully recharged the first 4times of use. After that it ddoesn't matter when it's recharged.

Should I allow the power pack to run completely down before recharging?

There are a couple schools of thought on this subject. I work at a battery store and usually tell customers that they will get more cycles out of their battery if they only drain it to about half and then recharge. In my opinion you're doing the best thing for your battery. Lithium Ion batteries dont like heat and they shouldn't be drained all the way down.

Once the unit is charged how long does the battery run dry

Once fully charged, it will last for about 4 hours, if it is used without shutting down. The good thing is that it comes with a rechargeable lithium ion battery. That can be recharged once it is weak. I will strongly advice that you do not allow the battery run down completely before recharging as the battery might become weak and unable to hold a charge. So do not let your gps die before recharging. you can charge once it is low.

Honeywell CT200A thermostat battery will not recharge.

Yes the battery charge circuit is burned out, you might as well replace the thermostat, parts will not be made to fix it unless it is still under warranty.

We have a Firestorm drill and have had conflicting advice on charging the batteries. which is correct flatten the battery right down or charge as soon as it loses power. ?? thankyou Colin.

There are different types of battery, the old ni-cad (nickel cadium) batts lasted longer if you let them run right down before recharging them as they had a 'memory' which meant if you charged them from half life they wouldn't charge as much after a while. The new Ni-mh (nickel metal hydrate) and li-ion (lithium ion) batterys don't suffer from this problem so you can recharge them whenever you fancy. The li-on batts don't tend to run compleetely out of charge as when tehy have lost a certain amount of power they just stop anyway. If your batt has lost some life it is possible to get it re-formatted' in some cases by having it put on a battery discharge tester. This is a bit of kit that fully discharges a battery from full in a short space of time and measures it's capacity by timing it. Because it completely discharges and recharges teh batt acouple of times quickly it can someetimes reinvigourate the batt.

Cordless weedeater loses charge after only using 10-15 minutes, can we replace a battery pack or do we need a whole new one?

Battery companies don't want anyone to know this but if you run the terminals over a magnet, the memory will harmlessly be erased. However, a battery may overcharge so keep an eye on it will recharging the next time.
