H4-00 = Low heat roller temperature detection. This is usually caused by either a blown heat lamp or a blown thermal fuse.
Sometimes the error can show up for no particular reason. Try resetting using the following sequence:
#,*,C,* (hash, star, clear, star) then enter '14' and then press the start button.
The machine will reboot. If the code comes back you'll need to check the lamp and fuse for continuity (having removed the fuser from the machine first!)
Hi, there is no error 4 alone it is usually followed by a H that is H4. Try to key in the following C Auto C Auto then enter 14 and press Copy key. If it was power low voltage , it will not re-appear but if it comes back then replace heater lamp and reset again.
the error code H4, means that an abnormal temperature was detected in the fusing section (the hot roller was not working properly during the initialisation of the printer), to solve the problem;
unplug the printer from the power source
wait for 10 mn
plug the printer again to the power source
switch on the printer
if the error H4 still displayed, you need change the fixing unit, that must be doing by a qualified technician,
The H4 code indicates the fuser may have blown the thermistor. It also could be a false error code. Try this series to clear the error and if it returns, then you'll know for sure the fuser is the culprit.
To reset press the following buttons:
If the Reset does not work, then you have a fuser error and your machine will need service.
H4 is a fuser heating error code.
Meaning the machine is not warming up because of a bad lamp, thermal fuse, thermostat, and or thermister.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
