Question about Dell Inspiron 1720 Notebook

I used to be able to photo capture with my dell inspiron 1720 but i now cannot there is no button to push anymore, have i messed up a setting on accident?

Try to remember when was the last time your photo capture was working. do a system restore. if system restore failed or not applicable then reinstall the photo capture software.

Take out the battery and make sure that it is all the way off. Restart it after 5 minutes. See if it does it again. If it does try holding down the power button for ten seconds and see if it shuts down alll the way

Dell 1720 says plugged in not charging , works fine on cord , now that battery is down will not work on battery alone . meter when pushed will light one white light then goes out. battery bad ?

Unfortunately, your battery is "dead". I used to have Dell notebook for several years, and on everyone, after 1 year, battery gone. If your battery is still under warranty go to official Dell service and let
they replace it. If not, you have to buy a new one, and it is at least 130$.

How to use SDHC memory card on Dell inspiron. putting memory card in slot, but nothing pops up to capture the photos anymore


you need to search if the driver is instaled,if not go to dell.com and download the driver and this should resolve your problem.

mybe you have accidentally press the dual video mode...in your unit there is a FN kay located near the ctrl and alt button....and from f1 to f12 locate that button that has a logo for minitor by pressing at the same time the FN key and that screen logo you find press it and release if see if that works.

Get it re formatted completely and doing a new partition.
