How do I decide the highiest memory that I can fix in my computer? What factors do i have to calculate or consider before buying a new memory chip? I dont have the manual for my computer. Appreciate your help in this topic.

Hi

I have upgraded several computers using this site:

http://www.crucial.com/uk/?gclid=CKLHvN3R7pACFQGIlAodvAxMsw

If this link doesn't work, just google for "Crucial"

They have an online scanner that will check your installed RAM, it will even try to identify your motherboard. It will then tell you how many available slots there are and give several different upgrade combinations.

There is a small active x facility to download which allows your computer to be scanned. The site is surfer friendly, no harmful activity and perfectly safe. Perhaps give it a go.

Whenever you venture into buying property, a rate is quoted to you. How exactly is this rate decided? Property valuation helps to derive these rates that are cited to you. But how do property valuations work? We'll take a sneak peek into it:

Some professionals calculate the Real estate Appraisal or what we also call property valuation. An important aspect to be kept in mind is the fact that properties are fixed assets. They cannot be moved and will be there in the same place till the end of time. But this does not mean that its value remains stagnated. There are constant improvements and upgradation in properties with every passing year, which is why they need to be assessed by real estate valuers. These valuers evaluate the property on the basis of a host of factors and then conclude. Both tangible and intangible factors are included for computation. Few of these factors are:

Invoice factoring gives your company the energy to develop, without offering equity or dealing with debt. Unlike whatever you decide and often hear; invoice factoring isn't a tool used only by battling companies. Financially wise companies use invoice discounting as an effective tool to produce capital tangled up in AR.

Natively it is unable to factor out polynomials. It does not have a CAS (Computer Algebra System). You may have confused it with some other CAS-enabled calculator.

Factoring is one of the hardest problems of elementary algebra. Not all calculators are designed to handle it. To be able to factor on a calculator, the calculator must have a COMPUTER ALGEBRA SYSTEM. Some expensive calculators have that feature. Most calculators (scientific ones) do not have a CAS.

Consult an elementary (beginning) algebra texbook to read on and understand factoring. For homework it is more efficient to use standard techniques or a combination of techniques to factor polynomials.

Sorry, the TI-30XA does not offer unit conversion functions other than angle units. The best thing you can do is to get the conversion factor from a table in a book, or look it up in the internet, and store it into one of the three M memory places of the calculator.

Use the memory recall and divide or multiply to convert.

Example: Convert metric tons (Mg) to international avoirdupois pound (lb), and vice versa. Conversion factor is:

1 lb = 453.5937 Mg.

1 lb = 453.5937 Mg.

- Key in 453.5937 [STO] [0] to put the conversion factor in memory 0.
- To convert 17 Mg to lb, key in: 17 [÷] [RCL] [0] [=].
- To convert 5 lb to Mg, key in: 5 [×] [RCL] [0] [=].

Natively, the calculator cannot factor polynomials because it does not have a Computer Algebra System or (CAS). You can however find the roots of the polynomial equation P(x)=0 and factor approximately.

On the Internet, there is a program which you can download and transfer to your calculator. Here is the link (the page is in French).

No, your calculator cannot factor polynomials. You need a calculator that has a CAS (computer Algebra System)

Yes Casio sells calculators with CAS: The FX-Algebra 2.0 and 1.0, the FX-9860GPLUS/GII SD, the GRAPH85 or 80 and the Graph 100+. You also have the CLASSPAD Series 300PLUS and 330.

TI and HP also have CAS calculators.

Texas Instruments

TI 89 /Titanium, Voyage 200PLT, TI92PLUS (discontinued), TI Inspire CAS.

Hewlet-Packard

HP 48G/G+/GX, HP40G, HP49G/G+ and the top of the line HP50G

Considering the fact that you cannot add a memory card to the calculator you have two options:

- Preserve the limited RAM and Flash memory of the calculator and use it just as a calculator: No games.
- Delete unnecessary applications (especially the languages you do not understand and do not need). If you delete a language you should also delete the other applications that are in that language. Periodic table, Study cards etc.

- Press [2nd][[+] to open the (MEM)ory management
- Select [2:Mem Mgt/Del..]
- Scroll down till you reach [A:Apps]
- Highlight and Press {ENTER]
- Use down arrow to highlight an application you do not want and press the [DEL] button.
- You will be asked "Are you Sure?"
- If you are sure you want to delete press [2:Yes] to confirm the deletion.

You cannot factor a polynomial with the help of this calculator. It does not have a Computer Algebra System or CAS. You can factor it approximately.

- You can however rewrite the equation 7k^2+23k+6=0 in the canonical form X^2+ (23/7)X+(6/7)=0
- Calculate its discriminant Delta= (23/7)^2-4*(6/7), which is positive, meaning that real solutions exist.
- Calculate the two roots x1 and x2 (approximately).
- The polynomial can be factored as (X-x1)(X-x2)

Hi,

MR is Memory Recall

MC is Memory Clear

M+ is Memory add

M- is Memory subtract

These are used to add and subtract the answers to multi-step equations so you can do the small steps with the calculator, then store, change or recall the total as needed. You might add a long string of numbers in groups this way. Or you can do all operations in one parenthesis, then just store the total of each.

A good problem to illustrate this would be : (123 x 3) + (55 - 24) + (10^2) - (7 x 8) = ???

Using MR, M+ and M-, you can do each one as a group, and only store the answers. 123 x 3 = 369 so M+ to put 369 in memory. Clear it from the calculator. 55 - 24 = 31, so M+ to put this in memory and add to the 369 already there. Clear it from the calculator. 10^2 = 100, so M+ this to memory also to add it. Clear it from the calculator. 7 x 8 = 56 so M- this to SUBTRACT it from memory. Clear it from the calculator if desired. Now, when you then hit MR, you will get the total of all of these small equations in parenthesis -- 444.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
