Question about Toymax Viore 42 in. Plasma TV
So for us not using cable for this, what do we do? even plugging a game console into this plug will have same results. keeps switching from mono to stereo making the sound stutter. why does the TV get to decide on its own? who thought of that? is there a setting to choose for it so it doesnt have to bother?

Well the default is to obtain the channels signal. most channels over the world their audio output signal is mono. Rare tvs have the ability to save indivisual channel to their memmoty. Read the tv prospectus!!!

Nope. I found out what the problem was...cable box settings. If you just drop by the office and pick up a cable box without them installing it for you, be sure to get instructions on how to set it up, because it is not set up for HD. That's what my problem was...maybe won't apply to others, but just passing it on. Thanks.

SOURCE: Mono Vs Stereo
Here is what I found out. I had this same problem. I have cable TV and the signal coming into my house was not very strong. They 'boosted' the signal and this problem stopped. Along the way, they tested that the cable line had been passing through a splitter, so that to the house the signal was good, but by the time it passed all of the splitters, the signal was not strong enough. Now all is well and the problem does not happen anymore.
