Hello

Sounds like the compressor is shuting down on high heat. There could be a couple reasons for this.
1 Check that proper voltage is being supplied to compressor.
2 Freon level may be low. This would be a service call.
3 Bad or intermitent connection at thermostat.
4 Main contacts to compressor sticking, usually burnt or pitted.

My Daewoo refrigirator's freezer is cooling but not the lower com

sounds like you need to replace the ptc overload on the compressor as this component supplies start and run power to the compressor and its getting weak and short cycling the compressor, they just unplug and plug into the side of the compressor and when you remove it shake it by hand and if you hear it rattle thats a good sign its bad

The refrigerator is running, but the freezer is not getting cool. Every couple of minutes there is a clicking as if something is trying to turn on.

You have a bad compressor or a bad "clixon" switch. (switch that sends current to the compressor motor.) The clixon is generally mounted on the compressor and has the power wires going through it to the compressor. The starting capacitor could also keep the motor/compressor from starting You could use a professional at this point.

How do i turn it on for the first time

hi there'
turning ac on,there are two switch on control panel of ac.find the thermostat control this signifies the room temperature you want, set this first to a maximum setting.another switch is for the motor compressor and fun motor.rotate the switch to fun first after a couple 15 second rotate again the switch to lo cool setting w8 for 10 to 15 sec. then rotae it again to hi cool there will be a sudden heavy change of blwing air and cooling effect then rotate set the thermosat switch to temperature comfortable to your feeling, observe the cycling process, because the compressor motor stop if the room temperature reached the set up temperature.stopping or switching off just rotate the switch of the compressor motor on off position.have a nice day fix my rate thank s a lot.

I have a kenmore 25352642303 the frig is no longer cooling or freezing like it should. It will start and run for a couple of seconds then quit.Could the starter switch be bad on the compressor

possibly. But if it was completely bad the compressor would'nt do a thing. If you have a hard start cap. for a small appliance try that it's cheaper than replacing the switch just to find out your compressor is low on charge or bad all together. With a low charge the compressor will heat up and trip a thermal limiter. I believe your fridge is a sealed unit meaning a freon recharge is not really an option. If a hard start works, thenI would replace the switch.

Compressor motor trying to start but can't... no cooling

Good day,
It would either be the compressor starting relay or a bad compressor.
The relay and on some versions a stsrt/run capacitor can fail, causing that problem. Those components are mounted on the side of the compressor and can be removed. Any decent appliance parts house will be glad to test them for you.
If bad, replace. If they check good there is an internal problem in the compressor best left to a qualified tech.

Replace the compressor starter/overload relay. It's on or near the compressor. It will be making a click each time the compressor tries to start.

Compressor wont start

It is probably a failed run capacitor for the compressor. Without the capacitor, the motor can't even try to run, but it will draw extreamly high amperage until it trips the thermal overload (avarage trip time 5-10sec) after it has a few second for the safety to cool off, it will try again. Either that or the compressor truly is seized

Fridge not cooling compressor works intermitently

If the compressor starts and runs for a few seconds it could be the relay. Or it could be the compressor itself has failed. When a compressor starts and runs for a short period it is possible that the relay contacts are arced together which would have both the start and run winding in the motor engaged at the same time for more than 3 seconds. This would result in the compressor tripping out on the thermal overload. It depends on what type of relay your compressor has. If it is a thermal relay, unplugging the refrigerator for about 15 minutes would allow the relay to cool off and reset.
