Itunes library.itl file is locked

- You can try to do the same this for the "My music" folder itself and the "iTunes" folder and "iTunes Music" too... shut down try iTunes
-this also could be Windows permissions related ie. are you logged in as the system admin with all access?

- Sorry this one is sometimes tricky and now that it works on other users that is more confusing... Here's one more option:

if the read only thing doesn’t work.. try this (on a windows box)
Follow the steps above..
4. Right-click the iTunes Library.itl file and select Properties.
5. Select the Security tab
6. In the “Group or user names” box select “Users”
7. In “Permissions for Users” box select “Allow” all the way down the list.
8. Click OK.
