If you have a Dell with Dell and it uses a software RAID, then you can download them from Dell's site.
Go to support.dell.com and enter your service tag or the system type and you can access the drivers.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My dell dimension 9200 is booting and then giving me a Floppy Diskette Seek Failure message. What is causing this to appear and not boot windows 7?

Hi. You computer seems to be booting up using the floppy disk and your floppy disk drive might not be connected properly, not working or not even there. Press F2 to run the setup utility and disable the floppy seek in the bios. It will most likely be in the "Advanced CMOS setup" area, or the 2nd screen depending on your bios. look for "Seek floppy drive at boot?" or, "Disable floppy seek at boot?" or something like that. When you find it, make sure it's not enabled for the seek. Save the change on exiting. :-)

Whenever attepting to load XP, it says RAID is not configured. can it be configured from USB/CD as there is no floppy drive. if yes how

You or your friends need to switch of raid in BIOS.
Harder way: make a floppy with raid driver (wich situated on the disk with moterboard drivers)
Pirate way: there is copies of WIndoWS with installed drivers for almost all raid controllers

Will a Dell OWG855 motherboard support IDE drives. Has a one hard-drive RAID setup from Dell now. I want to go Non-Raid.

?? One drive does not make a raid setup; that takes a minimum of 2 drives the same size, with the second being a mirror drive. If you just have the 1 drive, then simply turn off the option in the Bios setup.

Xp could not find sata hard disk

the driver is not included in the driver cab on the xp and server 2003 disks, you will need to download the drivers and put them on a floppy disk (usb floppy if you do not have an internal drive) then as the blue setup screen is loading press F6 to load the drivers.

I can not install windows XP on Toshiba Satellite U300, windows

You must have latest Windows Xp CD .
Latest Motherboard chipset does not recognise hard disk without proper sata raid or sata driver. So you can install sata driver if u have USB floppy drive by downloading latest Sata raid to floppy. At the time of installation you will see a message press f6 to if u need to install raid driver.then press f6 asking for floppy drive and floppy insert press enter to continue.

Need to reinstall window xp how and where do i start

Do it this way, go into bios and check "boot from disk" put your disk with Operating system in the drive, and restart, you will get some choices here you click on install, then it will ask you if you want to format, do a quick format, NTFS. it will format "wipe out " the old stuff, and begin reinstalling the new operating, dont try and save anything as you will just be dragging the ols problems along with you. Get your motherboard disks ready in case it asks for a raid driver or some Motherboard driver. and that is it , in around 45 minutes you will be done, you will need the serial numbers from your copy of windows. Have fun, when done just downlosd the updates, have fun Gym

Raid failure

Not a lot of details, but here is some basic information, assuming you have a Dell with Integrated RAID

Dimension 9150/9200 and XPS systems have RAID, depending on the model the exact troubleshooting differs. At boot, after the Dell screen, you should get the RAID status listing. RAID 0 will either be normal or failed. Raid 1 can be normal, degraded for failed.

If the RAID array was RAID 0 and one of the drives failed, then all data is lost and you'll have to create a new array then reinstall Windows and drivers

If the RAID array was RAID 1, then you may need to add the new drive to the Array, CNTL+I or CNTL+N at boot (Depending on the system model) add the new drive to the array and reboot. If the system still will not boot to Windows, then you may have a software error too with the OS.

If during troubleshooting, the array was broken in the RAID BIOS, then the array will need to be recreated and Windows/Drivers reinstalled.

Drivers

You have probably not installed sata/raid support floppy disc on the initial install of windows when prompted to press F6. You will need to find the make of the drive, then go to the manufaturer web site and download the HDD drivers to a floppy disc. The motherboard may also need the driver for sata/raid from the dell support site http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&ServiceTag=&SystemID=DIM_P4_4600&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=
