Problem for Camcorders
Generic problem for all Camcorders
Jvc comcorder model # gr-d70u
when trying to record the screen is blank/ black, like the lens cap had not been taking off, but it has. I looked to see if it was recalled but it wasn't.

- When I open the viewfinder/ LCD screen, It appears black (As if the lens cap is still on, though it's not). I can watch previous videos, and It says I'm recording--though when I watch it it's still black. Any solutions?- MechnoTechnoMay 19, 2008
- If you call 0870 330 5000 they will arrange for a free repair. There is no date deadline on this and as long as you have seriel number on the bottom of the camcorder, they do not even require proof of purchase!- Guest

Same as described before, screen displays everything except a picture and has the message, lens cap. would love if this could be fixed with a software download, install. Any ideas?
