Question about Gateway Belkin 54g Wireless DSL/Cable Router (DHF5D72304)
WEP key is not usually stored in the PC . If you ahve forgotten your WEP key, the only way is to reset the router and bring it back to factory defaults.. Alternatively, you can connect wired to the router, login to the web interface and change the WEP password there.

Hey you will not be able to locate the WEP key on any computer.
If you have the information saved on the document then you can find that document. otherwise you will not be able to find it on any computer.
This information is saved on the router interface. you will need to open the set up interface of the router.

Connect a computer to the router via Ethernet cable, then you should be able to log into the router to set it up by opening a web
browser and putting "http://192.168.1.1/" or "http://192.168.0.1/"
(without the quotes) into the address line. The default username and
password is usually "admin" and "admin" or username "admin" with no
password. From there you should be able to configure the router and retrieve or change the WEP key.
Let us know how you make out.

Are you looking for the wireless network key or password ?
Is there any computer online using the router.
If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router.
If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer.
router set up page is the page where you can check all the router settings.
You will find the wireless network key or password on the set up page of the router.

No, there's only 3 ways to sort this problem out.
1. Someone else who knows it tells you.
2. Use a pc/laptop with cracking software like aircrack, but last time I heard it was linux only, would be legal if you own the network (I assume, don't know worldwide laws), but it could takes weeks (longer for WPA, which is what you should be using as WEP isn't very secure) and is very complicated I think.
3. Reset the router. You'll need a pencil or similar.
If there isn't anyone else who knows your key then reset the router, by holding the reset button (small recessed rubber button usually on the back) for 30 secs (could be less) and setup your router again.
