Question about AEC Software Nuance Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 Legal - Upgrade from Professional Upgrade Version for PC
When I tried to install Dragon Naturally speaking 10 on my hp pavilion dv9000 it said tha processor speed was not enough to run the program. My alptop is only 1 yr old and should support the software any suggestions.
Unfortunately, a "one year old notebook" doesn't guarantee minimum hardware compatibilty of the Dragon Naturally Speaking product. Notebook computers are usually less powerful than their desktop counterparts largely in an effort to extend battery life. Amazon.com lists the following hardware requirements:
Recommended Specifications: CPU: Intel Pentium / 2.4 GHz processor (1.6 GHz dual core processor) or equivalent AMD processor; Memory: 1 GB RAM; L2 Cache: 1 MB
The link for the amazon.com web page containing the information above is provided below. Does your notebook meet the above specs?

According to the specs for the software, the AMD Athlon 64 1 GHz processor is the minimum requirment. Your system has a faster processor (AMD Turion 64 X2- as far as I can tell). So, your processor should run the Dragon software.
I'd suggest selecting Control Panel - Device Manager and right-click on the processor. Check to see if you do have that processor. If so, update the processor driver software.
If you still have your paperwork when you purchased the system, the processor should be listed. If the processor you found does not match the processor on your paperwork, contact HP.
Hope this helps.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
