Finepix adapter ring AR-FX3 55mm for Fugi 3800 digital

Finepix adapter ring AR-FX3 55mm which attaches to our fugi 3800 digital camera seems 2 be broken? it will not snap on any longer? it seems there is a "pin" or something missing? i think it happened when we attached another lens onto it?... i think it was too heavy? can it be repaired? inexpensively? i don't think it is really needed except to use this other lens but?.... please advise thank you
