Bissell powerforce brush won't turn when powered

Hey, you may want to have check if the brush turns by hand without the belt in place. If the brush doesn't turn manually, you'll need to replace the brush.

Here's a quick link to the BISSELL website to assist you.

Does the bissell pro heat have one or two belts?

The Bissell Model 25A3 has two belts, a pump belt and a brush roll belt. The pump belt (Bissell Part # B2150628) is flat and runs from the motor to the pump. The brush roll belt (Bissell part # B0560621) is cogged and runs from the pump to the brush roll. See key numbers 34 and 36 below.

Brush not moving in Bissell pro-heat

if the belt is more then 6 months old or more, then the belt will have to be replaced reguardless of the way it lookes. belts can stretch over time and when you put the machine on the carpet the friction causes the brush to stop because the belt has stretched. i would try this first. hope this helps
