Singer futura CE-100 4 blinking reds lights

When sewing a straight stitch, the machine will stop and the red light will blink 4 times. Then you can sew again for about an inch and it will do it again. I have rethreaded the machine. Cleaned out under the face plate. I can't find any discription of this error in the book.

My machine keeps blinking a red light on stitch 15 and 16. I unattached the hoop and turned it on and off, but the lights are still blinking.

Hold onto the thread that is coming out of the needle, and pull on the top of it (by the spool of thread) to tighten it. Then it should work fint.

This error indictaes that the upper thread is broken. If it is not the sensor is telling the computer the thread is broken. Try tightening the upper thread tension some and rethread the upper thread.

Straight stiches great. select any other stitch and it stitches about an inch and then stops

Test: With straight stitch and needle on left side sew.
With straight stitch and needle on right side sew.
Does one of the two sew and the other not sew?
The reason is the timing of the needle and bobbin are not set right. In other words it is in need of timing from a repairman.

My straight stitch is not perfectly straight, what can I do?

1. Put a piece of paper on the sewing machine w/o thread. Sew for three inches.
2. Notice the needle holes are straight with the feed dogs. The pressure foot is not in line with the holes.
3. With the pressure foot down loosen the pressure foot pressure to it's lowest amount.
4. There is a screw on the arm that needs to be loosened. Afterwards, adjust the arm until the foot is parallel with the feed dogs. Tighten screw.
5. Try sewing again on the piece of paper to check for accuracy on being straight.
6. One other check is to insure the feed dogs have even wear.

My Activa 140 Sews only straight stitch, very slowly, can not change needle prosition.have had it serviced 4 times for the same problem

I am willing to bet that your sewing machine's computer battery has died. A lot of people don't realize that these machines are computers... there is a small battery in all computers it has to be replaced now and then. (I think they call it an "eprom" battery.)

Btw.. I would NOT have paid 4 times for servicing on the same problem. If they didn't' fix it the first time... they can try again... but I won't pay for nothing.

I have a globe 877 sewing machine but no manual and i can't figure out how to stop it zigzagging

The knob with dot and F & R should be set to the dot.
Thw slider should be at the white dot not the red dot. Red dot does forward only.
The rotary knob with WWW O === is the stitch selector.
This is the setting for straight and zigzag stitching

Stitch length control any number from 0.5 to 4
Stitch width control any number from 0 to 4
Special stitch modifier; Red dot
Buttonhole control; RED dot
