After installing new batteries in an IS camera, try opening and closing the back cover. This can in some cases "reset" the electronics and internal switches to the correct starting point. ALSO, if camera has any tiny rubber buttons (like one you press to start rewind early) make sure that button is not jammed inside plastic surrounding area. If jammed inside, camera will jam. Pop button)s) out and tryagain. John

    1. The power is OFF.

    2. The batteries are loaded incorrectly.

    3. The batteries are exhausted.

    4. The batteries are temporarily unable to function.

    5. The loaded film has been rewound.

    6. The film is incorrectly loaded.

This is info from the trouble shooting section in the manual

My polaroid camera won't eject the film. Are the cameras broken or is the battery dead?

When you take a picture of darkness, are you using flash or uprating the film ?
More seriously, as the film is thirteen years out of date, I seriously doubt if it is still viable. The chemicals within the film pack will have deteriorated over time, and it is my guess that they may well have leaked into the film pack's internal mechanism, thus preventing the photos being ejected. Try again with fresh film.

Camera will not turn on when film is loaded

What is the film expiration date? This camera uses film with a battery built into the film pack, there are two metal contacts on the film pack, use a multimeter to check for current, the film has not been made for years now, battery may be dead.

Pictures all white

i'm assumming the film was in the camera? If so the film was exposed to the air and if expired this will cause white pics.If film was in sealed package than it still is film related, you bought new batteries so again persumming film is very old.Sounds like shutters are opening if white, black photo's are shutter problems. hope i helped!

Put new batteries it won't power on. been sitting not used for multiple years. bought new film but it doesn't seem to load since it won't power on. minolta qt si camera

Did it sit for years with batteries in it? You may need to clean corrosion off the battery contacts. Even alkalines and rechargeables can leak.

My camera indicates that the batteries are low and won't power on. But, when I put new batteries in, it still indicates low battery. What can I do?

Chances are that you are not using CR-V3 camera batteries in your *ist DL. I have tried 2400mAh NiMH rechargable batteries and brand new alkaline batteries in an attempt to save money.

Neither lasted anywhere near as long as the CR-V3 batteries!

While you may be paying $15-$20 for two CR-V3 batteries, they last a LONG time!

One of the advantages of DSLRs (and digital cameras in general) is that you save money by no longer buying film and paying for developing/prints. But, even at $20 for two CR-V3 batteries, I save money! I am able to take several hundred photos on a pair of batteries (I think the manual says 500 ) instead of $10-$15 ($2-$7 for film $8 dev/print) for every 24-36 photos!
