Whammmy bar broke off, need calibrating help!

My guitar hero whammy bar broke off from the inside cable thing that connects to a big chip because I'm a stupid ace. The problem I have is that even without the strum bar, the game thinks it's in the down position, and it RUINS songs. I've tried calibrating the "whammy bar" but it doesn't do anything. I need to know how to make the game think the whammy bar is in neutral position HELP
