Hello, your problem is going to be 1 of 2 problems, 1st did you spill liquid on the switch? if so the switch has shorted out, unplug the appliance for 24 hours to dry the switch out then plug it back in...if after 24 hours it is still clicking you have a bad switch (these are the burner knobs) check each one with a ohms meter, the one that is bad will read infinate on your ohms meter when it is switched off. If you have any other questions please feel free to comment. Good Luck!! Mike

Electronic ignitors won't stop clicking

Pull the burner caps, etc off the stove and completely dry the area ..Be sure to inspect each ignitor contact for cleanliness as well. If the ignitors have soapy buildup or water, around them, they can act like this.
You should be able to pull the burner caps and flame diffusers off and clean with a paper towel, and if needed, a light scouring sponge. Be careful not to scratch the surfaces, but scour the top of the ignitors carefully if you need to clean them.

Ignitors won't stop sparking

If your ignitors on the burners continue to click after cleaning it is because they are wet. The spark module is not sensing the flame is on therefore still telling it to click. Just leave all burners on high for 20 minutes until they dry out and stop clicking. The clicking is not dangerous. Just annoying. If they continue to click you may have some grease residue or cleaning residue on the ignitors. Take a piece of sandpaper, nail filer and file the tips of the ignitors where it has metal above the porcelain white part. Good luck.

Clicking noise on cooktop even when all burners ignite

I have a viking gas cooktop. The ignitor on one of my front burners wouldn't stop clicking even after the flame ignited. I swapped that ignitor with the ignitor from a back burner, expecting that the problem was with the ignitor and that the back burner would start to click incessantly, but at least I'd have my favorite front burner for use. Instead, the front burner was then only clicking 50% of the time and the back burner was fine, suggesting the problem was related to the burner not the ignitor. I pulled the front ignitor a bit away from the burner and now it is working normally. Hope this helps.
