Question about E-Machines eMachines Desktop PC
This sounds like you need to repair the boot sector. this usually happens when a hard disks boot sector becomes corrupt or damaged. to fix this you must use the windows install disk to install recovery console. put the disk in the CDROM drive, reboot, (you may need to press F2 upon bootup to enter setup and choose to boot from the CDROM instead of HDD) once computer is configured to boot to the CD drive reboot and choose "repair" when prompted by the cd. once the repair prompt is up you must run the 'fixmbr' command which will copy boot files back to your computer. hope this helps. please rate me and thanks for choosing enterprise computing solutions.
