Question about Apple iPod nano
When it first started doing it, I was able to restart it by holding down [Menu] and the center button. Now, however, I have to plug it into my computer to be able to restart it and it is happening progressively more often. I've tried checking for software updates (iTunes always says that the software is up to date) and I've tried restoring my iPod multiple times. What else can I try?
How old is the device? If less than a year, you may send it into apple to have it serviced.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

SOURCE: my nano won't restore.
When you hook your iPod up, go to my computer and see if it shows as a drive. If so, Right Click on the drive and click "Format" Once this is done, Put the ipod in disk mode and connect it to itunes.
Restore as before and see if you get results.
I suspect you may have been using a dock when it crashed, if so you may never get it back. Docks are very harsh on the ipod motherboards. especially the Nano gen 3 and the Ipod Video 5th gen.
If this helps, please leave a vote on fixya
