No cold air coming out of blower

I have a dometic 579 series ac that was rarely used over 10 years and now does not blow cold air. Everything else works, blower etc. Is there a coomon part that goes out on them? Can't see that you can recharge them! Not a service company within 150 miles of me! Thanks

They can be recharged using a piercing valve like this.

No cold air coming out of blower - 43480_300.jpg

The most common thing is lack of airflow due to dirty coild or filter, or low refridgerant.

If the piercing valve is placed on the low pressure line right near the compressor it can be recharged if that is the problem.

Dometic ac model # 57915.741 Ac is vibrating bad when on.

Hopefully there is just something in the blower wheel. Unless you can get to it from the ceiling of the RV you will have to take the cover off the unit to get to the blower assembly. The blower is the front fan that blows the air in to the trailer. If you can get the grilles off of the ceiling, turn the unit off and use a flash light to see if there is something stuff up in the actual blower or the assembly.

sounds like it is skipping the motor I mean, I am assuming that it was replaced with the correct motor(rpms,hp,volts). As if it was not it will skip, like it is doing now.

My sheet shows part # 3100248.420 as fan run capacitor. You may have an updated number. Check voltage outputs labeled on it are same as on old one, and double check wiring is correct, to and from capacitor. Be careful not to mistake compressor start capacitor as well. By sounds of number, it's probably the right one.

All air hot or cold comes from the defroster. will not blow through the vents or on the floor.

Check for broken / disconnected vacume line in engine compartment. they are about. 4mm in diameter made of hard plastic. It will go through the fire wall usually on the passengers side near heater / AC blower box. After years of heat and cold they become very brittle. they carry it at most auto parts stores.

My rv air comes on when blower is on low and runs fine and the air is cold, but turn it to high and it buzzes and barely blows, wont turn off unless you throw breaker

your problem is a simple one actually. You don't have enough power available to run your ac on high. If you get a meter to test amperage and voltage you will see that there is a serious drop from what they may advertise and what you actually get. Try to minimize use of other appliances when your AC is on and you should be ok.
