Try to manually configure the wireless network settings on your PC. Go to Control Panel > Wireless Network Connection, Righ-click choose Properties. Click on Wireless Networks tab. Delete all the Preferred Networks in the list and press Add. Then manually input your wireless network information like SSID and Network Key. Make sure to disable all firewalls you have. Hope that helps!

Hp mini 110 will not wireless connect

Did you put the password in correctly? If not it will just continously keep polling trying to connect.

There are two ways to connect. One way is to use Windows (called Zero Config) to connect and the other way is to let the software that came with the wireless adapter control the connection. Switch them out and see if you can connect. Look on your desktop or in your program list for the program that came with the wireless adapter. Click Start/Programs and look for it. When you find it, open it. Look for settings that say: Let This Tool Manage the Wireless Connection or Let Windows (Zero Config) Manage the Wireless Connection.

Try both ways, I've seen times where one will work, but the other one will not.

Another application is controlling the wireless device

RIGHT-click on the intelPROSet/wireless "cone" icon and look for the option to allow windows to manage the wireless device. It may be under "options."

Try using the Windows wireless connection instead of the Intel one after toggling "allow windows to manage." If that doesn't work, try toggling the "allow windows" option on and off, with restarts in between.

What's happening is that both Windows and the Intel software are trying to manage the wireless connection at the same time. You need to make sure that only one of them is configured to manage your wireless connection. You may need to go into Network Connections and RIGHT-click on the wireless connection there as well.

I'll be offline for a few hours, but back up again this evening. Let me know how it's working.

Check wireless is enabled in the router, and that it is turned on on the laptop itself. Then additionally check the laptop can actually see the routers SSID, and that the WPA-PSK key is correct (DO NOT use WEP)

You have to connect to the router with ethernet to get onto the configuration page. what i think what you have to do is to get a lan card and install it.
