I have the WBR1310 D-Link wireless router. I constantly loose wireless connection. I am able to connect and stay connected to other wireless hotspots. I have reset the router serveral times. It seems to go away for a day or so but then the problem comes back. Connection drops every 10 minutes or so but sometimes stays connected for 20-30 minutes. Do you have any suggestions to resolve this problem?

I would try one or both of the following:

1. Update any drivers or software for the D-Link router.
2. Update the firmware of the router (see page 38 of the user manual for instructions to do this). -- you can download the manual at http://www.dlink.com/products/?tab=3&pid=WBR-1310&rev=WBR-1310 if you dont have it.

Hope this helps.

Everytime my wife's iphone connects to our home network, my laptop looses the internet connection and goes to a local connection only. I have to disconnect and reconnect and everything works fine.

I find that when it comes to iphones and home wireless networks, that using 64bit encryption is the best. I'm not sure what you are using now, but give this a try.

With an Ethernet cable, connect your computer _directly_ to the cable-modem (or DSL-modem), bypassing the D-LINK router.
Now, can you web-surf?

The Speed are up and down

Is that over a wireless connection? If so it is probably caused by interference from different things in the area where the router is. It is normal. If a hard wire connection would still be normal.
