SOURCE: blurry pictures

As suggested above, you may be shooting without adequate lighting. In that case the shutter would remain open long enough that even the smallest hand movement would result in a blur.

SOURCE: Lens problem, no zooming capabilities and blurry images

This would need to be serviced something is wrong with the auto focus and this is inside the lens housing. I would take it into a camera shop and have the examin the autofocus.

first of all i wanna ask one question, does your camera fell from your hand? usually this comes when your optical zoom motor is not responding to signals receiving from cameras processor. better service it with nearest service centre.

Check the manual for instructions on how to set it for the maximum number of megapixels and the best picture quality. If it has shake control, be sure you have it on. Set the camera to "auto" everything until you become more familiar with it.

Blurry pics or with yellow tinge

If your pictures are blurry, you have a shutter speed that is too slow. If they are yellow, your white balance isn't set to auto. Try using the camera in more light or setting it to full auto. There is most likely nothing wrong with your camera.

Camera takes pictures very slowly thus they always come out blurry. I have the megapixel settings on their lowest and even with action settings on they are still blurry is there anything I can do?

You're supposed to press the shutter button half-way and allow the camera to focus (it will beep) then press the rest of the way. Do you do that? Do you unconsciously move when snapping the picture? You should not set your camera to the lowest megapixel rating...the picture quality will suffer. Try setting your ISO to a faster speed.

Pictures are blurry and wavy

This must be a problem of the lens. Replacing the light focusing lens will surely help.

Blurry images on camera

When operating any digital camera, the camera tries to capture the best focus and exposure for that particular scene. By pressing the shutter button half-way down, the focus and exposure is being set. There will be a green circle on the upper left hand corner of the screen, then your camera is ready to take the picture. Slowly depress the shutter the rest of the way down to take the picture.

Also try to reset the camera back to factory settings as there may be a setting that is causing this issue to occur. To reset the camera - go to Menu - left arrow to reset - highlight Yes and press ok. This will reset the camera back to factory default settings. See if the blurriness still occurs. If it is still blurry you may want to send to Olympus for evaluation and repair service.

Blurry pictures

First try to put the camera dial on the P mode setting and then press ok - right arrow to Mode Menu - down arrow to setup tab - then right arrow to All Reset and then right arrow to make sure it is set to On. Then power the camera off and then back on. The camera should then be in factory defaulted settings. Try taking an image in P mode and seeing how it turns out. If it is still blurry you may want to call Olympus technical support to further troubleshoot your issue. Their telephone number is 888-553-4448 option 5 and then option 1.

sounds like someone has changed the shutter speed. Look in owners manual on how to change back to default. might also look at the picture type settings but setting the camera for action shots u will get better images if there is movement in the image.

Blurry pictures

You're both right. The pictures are blurry because the shutter speed is too slow, but it's too slow because there isn't enough light for it to be faster. Try this: Set the ISO to 800 Set the camera at shutter priority mode, and enter 1/160 for wide angle to mid-zoom, and 1/400 for full zoom. If the pictures come out too dark ( and you're too far to use the flash ), you can always brighten them on the computer. But if they're blurry, you can't really fix that.
