Today I bought a Sony Walkman MP3 player (2 GB). I want to put a video on there, but the program (Windows Media Player) that I sync music on says I have an error when I try to sync the video. The error details say "Windows Media Player cannot sync the file because protected file cannot be converted to the required quality level or file format." Please help if you can. Please email me.

Open up your files of your movies which have to be transfered over to your MP3 player files in order to work. Then make sure your MP3 player is in MSC USB mode. Then you install the little program for converting cd's over to MP3 and viola you got it!

SOURCE: I Cannot figure out how to put videos on my MP3 Player

Try to convert your Youtube videos to .mov format. There are a bunch of converters out there.Just google it.Daniusoft has a good video converter that does this ...Then use the converter that came with the player to convert to the .mtv format that the player uses.

The MTV Video Converter that coby uses is picky...It has a problem with my .avi files but it will convert my .mov files to .mtv

Let us know what helps

I want to put a couple of my dvd's on my player, but I can't figure out how to do this.

Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX.If your player cannot play a video then it is anincompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to aformat that your MP3 player uses. After video conversion then copy the videofiles to your MP3 player using the USB cable from your computer.Click on this link for instructions on converting videofiles for MP3 players :-http://www.fixya.com/support/r5874192-play_videos_mp3_player

How can i get videos on my mp4

There's an online manual for COBY mp-c7095 in pdf format:
http://www.cobyusa.com/files/manuals/MPC7095_MN.pdf

1. Use the video conversion software from the CD for adjusting
video to correct size before transferring to the player.
2. Check the system requirements for video conversion on page 34.
The conversion software in zip format can be downloaded with this link:
http://www.cobyusa.com/files/software/MTVVideoConverter_Ver1.12.11.zip

Once video is converted u could use Windows Media Player 11 for
transfers. A short guide on WMP11 for putting files onto the device:

1. Have WMP11 always on top for "drag and drop" usage
Right click in the head of the WMP11 page:

in Tools > Options... > Player : select "Keep the player on top ..."
Restore Down the size of the WMP11 screen and adjust the size on the
edge(s) as you require for your screen.
2. in [Library] mode: under Playlists "Create Playlist" e.g. "My Playlist"
and Enter: "My Playlist" is added on the right screen side.
3. Open your data maps and ad files by drag and drop method
onto the right saying "Drag items here"
4. when ready adding files in [Library] mode: "Save Playlist"
5. in [Sync] mode drag e.g. "My Playlist" under the connected device
and "Start Sync": wait until al files have synchronized: a message
will show up when you can disconnect the player.

There is a Video Conversion Tool for this player, since it only will accept SMV format. If the Video Conversion Tool does not recognize the files that are in FLV format, you will need to get an additional free program such as Riva FLV Encoder to convert the FLV's to AVI format. Once the videos are in AVI format, the Video Conversion Tool will recognize them. Here are some additional notes from your user's manual:

Video Transfer Tools
Note:
VIDEO2SMV_V41 only reformats video files. Relevant third party codecs and players must be used to support the previous video format. Only if your computer is able to play the source files will VIDEO2SMV_V41 be able to properly convert the files to .SMV format.
VIDEO2SMV_V41 is used without installing: Copy the folder "SMV Conversion Tool" to your PC. Enter the folder and double-click video2smv.exe to run the conversion tool.

Adding videos to MP3 player

I was looking into it a little and you can also use a .flv format video, which works great on my player. I have the smpk8854b and videos that came as .flv work fine! i haven't tried the conversion process yet so idk how effective it is.
