My rca hdtv has a 3d look, and it is blurry, what can i do

Follow the manufactures instructions for adjusting focus and or convergance. If it persists please contact an authorize service center as the adjustment is near HIGH VOLTAGE circuits.

There is almost nothing that can be fixed by yourself if your not trained in high voltages and advanced circuitry now days. This sounds like it could be your color guns going bad or the power supply.
This set also has an issue with The tv convergence board,require 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors to replaced to solved the tv convergence picture problems.

This tv doesn't have 3D capabilities - the image appears blurry because both images are displayed on the same screen at the same time. Just don't use the 3D option from the BluRay player, view the movie normally - 2D.

Heres a repair kit that will usually repair that issue with the RCA rear projection TVs. The kit has the parts and instructions.

this 3d effect is due to what is known as convergence.i work daily on these set in the shop. (thats a good testomony for these LOL) but the first question i ask is 1 in the customer setup do you have convergence option.. Next question is the picture bow tie looking and 3d. if you are missing the convergence option chances are it is the fl231 fuse. then you need to read the fl231 fuse under tips and tricks section of this website. Convegence is controled by three cuicit boards. if any of these need to be replace a technician may need to set or adjust the convergence back to faactory specs

You have a convergence output IC failure. You my also need a few small associated parts as well. Expect to pay $350-450 to have this fixed.
