My my touchpad doesnt worrks

----- control panel - mouse - see if touch pad disabled there ----- have a look in the bios/setup and see if the touch pad is disabled there, as the PC boots - you should see which key to use to enter the bios/setup F2, F10, DEL KEY are often used ----- On some machines a combination of FN and F key can disable/enable the touch pad - F7 or F9 ----- If you point the mouse to the top of the screen you may get a menu dropdown, which will also tell which key to use to disable/enable the touchpad ----- control panel>system>{vista}lefthand side device manger or {XP}hardware>Device Manager>Mouse and other pointing devices>Touchpad>highlight touchpad and right click, Properties, option here to Disable,

Inspiron 1525 Touchpad has a mind of its own

I would try using what they call a cool mat. It sits under your computer and plugs into your computer per USB. It helps keep the computer cool. They cost like 25 dollars.

Do not check the check box as leaving the touchpad enabled while using an external mouse will not cause any harm.

Has anyone found a fix (short of getting rid of) for Logitech MX 600 Laser Mouse pointer erratic operation?? Seems to work OK on a Flat smooth surface, but jumps all over the place on any mouse pad I have...

  1. Mouse is not clean.
  2. Optical portion of mouse is blocked.
  3. Moisture or other material on finger.
Mouse is not clean Users who have an optical mechanical mouse (most common mouse for desktop computers) are likely experiencing erratic behavior because the mouse is not clean or is dirty. Optical portion of mouse is blocked
Users who have an optical mouse are likely experiencing erratic behavior because a portion of the optical eye is blocked. Most commonly this is caused by a hair.
Moisture or other material on finger Users who are using a touchpad may experience erratic behavior because of moisture or other material on the finger such as lotion.
Mouse has been cleaned and still has problems If you've cleaned the mouse and continue to encounter issues and this mouse has worked in the past fine unfortunately your mouse is likely defective. One additional test that can be done to help determine if this is the case or not is to connect the mouse to another computer. Otherwise we suggest replacing the mouse.

Acer 3100 Notebook Touchpad issues

Dust has built up in and around the touch pad. Purchase a can of pc dust buster, and give it a blast in and around all keys and the touchpad. You may have one sticky key which is causing the pad to behave erratically.

My touchpad on my Toshiba A215-S7428 is acting erratically. I've already gone into the settings and changed the zones but if I hover over any icon it will open it without any tapping -- help!!

uninstall the touchpad drivers and reboot laptop use an usb mouse to remove drivers as this will be needed.

then it should reload drivers and all will be fine if not then goto Toshiba's website and download the touchpad drivers and install then reboot laptop all should be fine.

and be very carefull when you are near the touchpad as the buttons are easily pressed.

good luck
