HI there,
you have some kind of Casio. If you are using the decimal to set prices like 10.00 DONT. Do not use the decimal when changing price because the machine already knows where the decimal goes !

When turning on our sharp XE-A42S cash register in REG mode it lets us enter in a price, but when we go to push the department key, it beeps and displays misoperation...

Firstly, press subtotal (ST) button. If a price appears, you are in a sale and it is waiting for you to finish (try another method like credit). If it gives an error or beep when you press ST button and the drawer does not open when pressing CA/AT/NS, you probably haven't signed on. Try signing on using a PIN number (see clerk sign on in your manual)

When I program pricing Key is in PGM mode 1 Subtotal enter amount 600 for $6.00 hit the dept key then subtotal. Return to Reg price the dept number price comes up as $695 not $6.95

There appears to be an incorrect value entered during the programming process. If you send me an email to LBrown18062@hotmail.com, I will send you the manual that shows the correct programming sequence. Please put "casio PCR-T2100 manual" as the subject and I will send it to you right away.

I need help programming the a unit price for each department key. We are following the instructions, 1,subtotal, (enter amount), press appropriate dept key, subtotal, But it does not change the price.

Make sure you have the key in the program position and you can see P01 on the display after you press 1 SUBTOTAL (some models just show P). this will tell you that you are ready for price changes. Make sure you DO NOT use a decimal point, so for $5.00, type in 500.
If you still can't sort it, let me know the model number and I'll try to give more help.

Casio te-2400 cash register- making transactions

Try this: Turn key to program mode 0 CASH SUBTOTAL 3 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL
This should remove the preset amount from the CASH button. Now it should work normally when finishing the sale.
Now turn back to REG mode when entering the price, DO NOT use a decimal, so type 2000 for 20 dollars. Now press a PLU (item) button. SUBTOTAL Type the amount received (NO DECIMAL, so 5000 for 50 dollars) Press CASH Change should be displayed, and drawer open

How do I allocate PLUs to departments on my CASIO TK-7000?

take a readout of the department and groups first
pgm6
205 subtotal
1 cash 30 cash
this will print out your departments

pgm6
206 subtotal
this will print out your groups

pgm3
1166 subtotal
enter your 6 digit number then press all the products linked to that department / group

your 6 digit number = DDGG00 DD= Department GG= Group
then 00
so for dept 1 gp 1 = 010100

when finished
press subtotal

Sharp A203 Problem

Hi,
I found an operation manual for you here:

http://rapidshare.com/files/152221010/XE-A203_Operation_manual.pdf.html

Click the link above or copy and paste into your browser. When you see the Rapidshare page, click ‘free user’. If you see a timer, wait, then click ‘download’.

It sounds like you might be using a decimal point.

Turn the key to REG mode.
Type the price in dollars and cents with no decimal point e.g $5.50 = 550
Press a department (category button) to the right of the numeric pad.
Do the above until all items entered.
Press SUBTOTAL. This will show the sale price. Ask the customer for this amount.
If you want to calculate change, type the amount the customer hands to you now.
Press the payment method, cheque, credit, cash. Sometimes the CASH button is called TL

See if that sorts you out. Otherwise tell me exactly what buttons you are pushing, and any error numbers that show on the display. These are good machines. I really like them.
