You don't need to remove the hinges to remove the Keyboard. On the bottom of the laptop, remove any screws you see, open any covers and remove any screws you see under those covers that are near the area that would be under the keyboard area. Open the laptop and just above the F keys on the keyboard use a flat tip screw driver and lightly pry the plastic cover up. This may have the buttons for different functions on it and the power button. This should pop right up with a little pressure. Once that is removed you should see 2 to 3 screws holding the keyboard down along the top. Remove those and carefully lift the keyboard up till you can see the Wire strip that connects to the motherboard. carefully open the locking latch that holds the wiring strip in place and then slide the strip out. reverse the process to install the new keyboard. Good Luck

That thing that your describing is something i have never seen in my life, and most probably wont. The best that I can help you is that you should bring that thing your talking about along with the thing that plugs it on to, to a technician who can clearly see that thing that you are describing.

Okay ihad to take the computer apart to put the

There is a small cable that leads from the power strip to the motherboard. If that came unplugged, the motherboard will not get the signal from the power button. Pull the keyboard and power strip back off and check for connection at the power strip and motherboard.

How do you find the laches on the computer and how do you get them on hook dstringfild@hotmail.com

They're in the lid. Pop out the little rubber plugs around the screen and the screws are underneath.
