Question about HP Pavillion ZV6000 Notebook

The speakers on my HP computer have stopped working. I cannot figure out why. Both have gone out at the same time. The computer seems to recognize if they are plugged in or not.

What would cause speakers to stop working?


Are these powered speakers? If so you my have blown a fuse or amp inside speaker needs work, such as a blown capacitor. It coild be wire on plug, if you have a miltimeter you can use it to figure out if plug is at fault. Also just check for broken wires do the simple things first.

Surround sound


there are 2 channel modes on your reciever, as well as surround modes, and it sounds like you have changed modes by accident. just open the little door on the front, and take it out of 2 channel mode

CAN NOT HOOK UP SPEAKERS...


The sound cable goes to the green connector the power goes to the power adapter or to wall socket / power source.

all other speakers are connected to the speaker that is connected to the pc, unless its diffrence.

what is the brand and model of speakers you have?

open the control panel ,install sound driver and also check device driver view if the sound connect to computer.

You need to reinstall the latest drivers for your present sound device then restart your pc then check it. It will work surely! you should install the drivers that came with your sound devices! thats it!
