Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Hi calwolfe...
Go to the following website and download your manual, if it is among the list.
You did not get me a model so I did not have much to work with to find your user manual for your chainsaw.
Please take time to rate me

Check fuel line for obstruction first then you need to disassemble your carb a give a full cleaning maybe even rebuild it. Check out this link and watch the chainsaw video. smalleng.com

Need to tighten chain

Hi, first you need to use some pressurized air to blow out all of the debris from the attachment points of the bar. Then, loosen the retaining bolts for the bar . Find the tensioner screw beside the bar. You can spot this screw by looking at the saw head-on. Next, turn the tensioner screw clockwise until you can only lift the chain a quarter inch from the bar. Afterwards tighten the retaining nuts, but do not over tighten! Hope this helps.

Ryobi chainsaw 4545 automatic chain lubrication not working

That number you provided does not cross to an IPL (exploded parts list) here:
Homelite/Ryobi.com
https://www.gardnerinc.com/recons/disclaimer-lg.php - Agree; Choose “Product Line”; “Select OEM” & “Select Catalog” both to “Homelite Consumer Products”. A drop down list appears; self explanatory from here.
The numbers Homelite & Ryobi use don't match the numbers everyone posts. A careful inspection of your saw should find something that matches. It is the only illustration I've found that gives any oil line rouling detail.

Oil System Plugged.
A blunted, hooked piece of wire can be used to pull the hose in the oil tank out. I recommend the filter be replaced. Work your way through the linkage cleaning and replacing any defective parts as you go. Carefully check the hoses for cracks especially at connections. If equipped with an oil pump it is usually behind the clutch (probably left handed thread). The saw can be operated without the bar and chain to verify oiler operation. Please make extensive notes & some digital pictures will help during reassembly. GL

Need replacement Chain oil pump

Go to the Homelite web site, which will get you to HCPI Electronics Parts catalog. You will need the model number. The parts are illustrated as a break-away drawing for various portions of the saw. Hope this helps.

Ryobi Chainsaw - PCN 4545

Ryobi boasts a two year warranty. Have you contacted anyone about a warrantied repair?

An IPL (expanded parts list) for your saw with any oil system detail can be found here:
Homelite/Ryobi.com
https://www.gardnerinc.com/recons/disclaimer-lg.php - Agree; Choose “Product Line”; “Select OEM” & “Select Catalog” both to “Homelite Consumer Products”. A drop down list appears; self explanatory from here.

Oil System Plugged.
Remove the clutch cover, bar and chain. Clean the oiler hole and channel. Start the saw and see if it oils when revved up. If yes reassemble your saw.
If no a blunted, hooked piece of wire can be used to pull the hose in the oil tank out. I recommend the filter be replaced. Work your way through the linkage cleaning and replacing any defective parts as you go. Carefully check the hoses for cracks especially at bends and connections.
