Question about NorStar M7324 Telephone

I am trying to reset the message on the phone. There are 4 prompts to choose from. The information needs to be updated and I don't know how to do it.

Hi there,

1. Enter Feature 983
2. The display will show “LOG“, now you suppose to
enter the password
3. Enter “10020000“
4. Display will show options MBOX AA OTHR
5. Press soft key under MBOX
6. New menu will show on display ADD DEL CHNG
7. Press soft key under CHNG
8. Enter the extension number you wish to reset Vmail password
9. Once you entered the extension number display will show two options RESET and NEXT
10. Press soft key under RESET and display will show message PASSWORD RESET
11. Press release button on the phone and user’s Vmail password is now reset to default 0000
12. Done
that will also reset the messages.....

Please try a Hard Reset on your Nokia E72-1 before you try for the next firmware update.Please follow the steps below to perform the Hard reset.

1. Turn OFF your mobile phone.
2. Hold the buttons *, 3 and call button (Green) and turn the phone ON.
3. Never release the buttons until the Nokia logo is displayed ( approximately 10 - 20 seconds ).
4. You will be prompted to adjust the Time, Date and Country when successfully reset.

Now connect your phone with your computer and launch the Nokia Software Updater and upgrade your firmware.Please make sure that your broadband internet connection is active and uninterrupted during update.

How to Manually update your android device.
A. Goto Settings
B. Goto About Phone (At bottom of page)
C. Choose System updates
D. Follow the prompts on screen to download the update.
E. Make sure that your device is plugged in or has a full battery, the update process can take upto 15 minutes and if your device crashes it can corrupt the software and create a larger problem.
F. Enjoy Updated Android



What to do when your android device will not update or you recieve the following error message.
A. "Device is Up to date" (when its not up to date)
B. "Device cannot access update server, try again later" This may be because server is overloaded, if this message persists for multiple days consider attempting the following steps.
1. Restart device, remove battery try again.
2. Make sure all other applications are upto date, this may cause interference with your devices update process, attempt
to update software again.
3. Perform a Factory reset (See Instructions Below)
4. Take Device into carrier store for service.




How to perform a Factory reset using android OS:
Software Reset:
A. Go to Settings
B. Go to Privacy
C. Choose 'Perform factory reset option' Follow prompt
D. Make sure all files that you wish to keep are backed up, there are applications available in the android market such as
Titanium Backup that will backup all application phone data.

Hardware Reset:Different methods for different phones.
Enter Recovery Mode:Shut down the phone by pressing on Power button for a while, and choose Power Off.
Method 1:Press and hold the power button and the home button until a exclamation mark inside a triangle appears.
Method 2: Press and hold X and the power button until the screen activates, release power icon. hold poweruntil icon appears.
Method 3: Press and hold Camera and the power button until the screen activates, release power. icon hold power until icon appears.

Perform a Hardware reset from the recovery menu.



My calls dont connect/there's no sound:
Ok likely theres a hardware issue with your sound card or speaker, but before you take your phone in for servicelets check some stuff.
1. Turn your device on and off, remove battery test again.
2. before performing a hardware reset uninstall some applications, some such as Zedge can interfere with the calls, this can be a simpler solution that losing all your info
3. Perform a factory reset (See Above)
4. Take your device into your carriers store and have a service representative look at it.


Phone wont start/Dead Battery or ChargerTry to identify the specific component or if its the device that is having issues.
1. Test phone with different battery (If available)
2. Test phone with different Charger (If available)
3. Try to power on phone with charger connected.
4. Take device in to a service representative at a carriers store, they may replace the device or faulty components depending on warranty or the specific situation.

Welcome to Fixya. If the you don't know the lock code you can try the steps below so that you can reset the phone to it's factory state.
1. Power off phone. 2. Hold camera button and power on phone at the same time. 3. Release the camera button when prompted to. 4. You will see a message screen telling you to press the up or down volume button 5. Press and HOLD the down volume key (ignore message 'Volume Up Key Pressed') 6. When triangle and phone screen appears 7. Press on the screen just above the back key 8. You will now see the "Motorola system recovery" menu
At this point you will have three choices:
1. reboot system now [Menu+Back] 2. apply ssdcrad:update.zip [Alt+S] 3. wipedata/factory reset [Alt+W]
Select the third option to do a factory reset.

Ok Basically whats happening is that your phone is not recognizing that there is an android upgrade available, this is a bug in the software.
before performing a hard reset make sure that all your applications are upto date as they may interfere with the update process. once you update all your apps check the update screen again. through Settings -> About Phone -> System Updates

To perform a hardware reset goto
Settings -> Privacy -> factory reset
and follow the prompts.
your contact and paid application information will be saved on googles servers, remove your SD card to save pictures and videos before performing a reset.
there are free applications in the Android Market to back up text messages as well. Best of Luck.

Hi Yesterday i upgrading my Samsung wave s8500 firmware. while upgrading internet connection is Disconnect and now my phone only shows one picture on display whenever i tried to USE it... PICTURE i.e One...


Step I: Download the latest version of Samsung Kies from official site of Samsung Kies. The latest version of Kies is: Kies_2.0.0.11044.

Step II: Open Samsung Kies and connect your Samsung Wave with PC (Wait for driver installation, if you have attached your phone for the first time with your pc)

As soon as Kies will detect your phone it will offer a prompt of new firmware update available, see the screenshot below

Click on UPDATE button

Step III: Now you will face a window of 'Agree to the Terms and Conditions." You can choose the option of save and don't save the information. This option is that, Samsung will store your information of IP and hardware specifications on their servers for 2 years. It is totally dependent on you, which you want to choose.

We would like to recommended you to choose "Allow saving"


Upgrade Terms & Conditions

Hit START UPGRADE button

Step IV: It is strongly recommended not to disconnect your phone from PC until the upgrading process is complete. So take care of it.

Within few minutes (depends upon the speed of your internet connection). Upgrading process will move on and will complete successfully.


Upgrade in Progress

Note: Don't use any options on your phone, while the upgrading process is taking place, your phone will be restarted. DON'T PANIC!

Your phone will come to working state automatically and your Samsung Wave is successfully upgraded to Bada 1.2

I have a motorola back flip and my daughter was playing with my phone and got a passcode on it now it wont let me in my phone i need a reset password


If a password is forgotten, perform a master reset to restore the device to original factory specifications.

Hard Reset
You undertake using this procedure at your own risk.

1. Power off phone.
2. Hold camera button and power on phone at the same time.
3. Release the camera button when prompted to.
4. You will see a message screen telling you to press the up or down volume button
5. Press the down volume key (ignore message 'Volume Up Key Pressed') - This is fixed after updating to 2.1 and the proper message shows
6. When triangle and phone screen appears
7. Press on the screen just above the back key
8. You will now see the "Motorola system recovery" menu

At this point you will have three choices:
1. reboot system now [Menu+Back] 2. apply ssdcard:update.zip [Alt+S] 3. wipedata/factory reset [Alt+W]

You can simply tap an item to select it.

At the bottom of the screen you can select OK to apply your choice from the menu.

There is also an opportunity to select Hide on the bottom left, I don't know what that does (I tried it and nothing happened).

Selecting Wipe data/factory reset and tapping Ok and the screen changes to a box and a phone (Get it - out of the box) and you see what is happening on the phone.

Data Wipe Complete.

Press Menu+Back to reboot

pressing Menu+Back did nothing for me so I tapped 'reboot system now' on the menu and Ok.


The phone restarted and took me through the setup prompts.

Try punching in *228 send and choose option 2, this should update your phones software and reset the lock code to the last 4 of your cell number.
