Question about Epson Stylus Photo 1200 InkJet Printer
After a lengthy period of printer idleness, I am dealing with a seriously clogged Epson Stylus Photo 2200. I am trying to avoid pulling the print head carriage out for a cleaning with Windex &/or distilled water soaking. Repeated cycles of (software) head cleaning have not brought it back to prime performance. I created a test page using a table in MS Word. Each cell has either a 100% or 50% fill pattern of CMYK (or close to it) and a set of true red cells. I seem to have the Cyan and Yellow heads working. Problem continues with intermittent flow from the Magenta and Black(s). The true Red cell starts well, but then the Magenta cuts-out and only the Yellow fills the 2nd half of the cell. Any suggestions? I have the info from harwaresecrets.com on pulling the 220 carriage, but dread the job of doing it.
Well you certainly covered all troubleshooting that needs to be done and if head cleaning can´t do it -> you got to open it or have it serviced.
