SOURCE: "Memory card is protected"

This error message indicates that the memory card is locked. The switch on the memory card is in the write-protect position. Reset the switch as shown on the camera screen.

SOURCE: Screen is saying Memory card is protected (reset switch on memory card) and it won't take pictures.

if you have tried to set the switch to unlocke on your SD card, and still have this problem, you may need to open your camera to check the SD card slot.
this tips might help:

SOURCE: MEMORY CARD IS WRITE PROTECTED ISSUE

Hi,
Remove the write protect lock off by taking the card out of the camera, face the card towards you, look for a small white tab on the left hand side of the card, to unlock it push the tab down, it will be at the side of the card like this 59a6de4.jpg .

SOURCE: my kodak camera is saying

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

My GE camera will not let me take a picture. It just says write protect with a picture of a lock. How can I get that off??

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the slide is already in the correct position, slide it fully the other way and then back.

If that doesn't do it, try another memory card.
